As an American visiting Thailand on a 90-day visa, I noticed in October and November that many local Thais expressed concerns about Russian tourists not tipping in restaurants and being perceived as unfriendly. Foreigners, regardless of their visa type, are not permitted to work in Thailand unless they have been granted a work permit. To be eligible for a work permit, individuals must hold the appropriate visa, typically a Non-Immigrant Visa. Not paying for food should be thrown out.
"In an official statement, the department asserted that all prisons in Thailand, including Bangkok Remand Prison, operate in compliance with departmental rules and policies."
No specific mention of taking bribes and granting special privileges in the department rules and policies, so all is well and in compliance. No mention of salmon and cigars in the department rules and policies.
Having not read this thread, I'm wondering if anyone has asked yet, "How long is a piece of string?" Everytime somebody asks how much money they need, somebody else comes along and starts talking about string. Strangest thing!
