Nualphan Lamsam, known locally “Madam Pang” and manager of Thailand’s national football team, applied for the position of president of the Football Association of Thailand today.

She is the first candidate to submit an application to replace Pol Gen Somyot Poompanmuang, who stepped down in July last year. The association will elect a new president in February.

Nualphan has introduced her team, if she is elected to the top post, including Bangkok Glass FC president Pawin Bhirombhakdi, Chonburi FC deputy president Annop Singtothong, former head coach of the Thai national football team Wiluck Lohtong, the chairman of Siam Sport Syndicate PLC and Piyapong Peu-on, the former Thailand national football striker.
