snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - The National Astronomical Research Institute (Public Organization) (NARIT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI), collaborates with Bangkok to transform the city into the City of Stars. Titled "Starry Night over Bangkok," the event is a grand stargazing activity scheduled to take place at the Amphitheater of Benjakitti Park on December 23, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. NARIT and Bangkok extend an invitation to all to join this spectacular event—a magnificent New Year’s gift to the people of Bangkok and all Thai citizens. Throughout the night, attendees will have the opportunity to explore a caravan of diverse telescopes provided by NARIT and schools within the astronomy network. This allows participants to observe celestial objects such as the moon, Jupiter, and Saturn, and more. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to learn about planets and stars in the sky and discover fascinating constellations. They can easily identify stars using a mobile application, capture moon images with their smartphones, and take impressive photos with a giant moon balloon. The event also features a special talk on exploring the moon, the enjoyment of Glow in the Dark Stars & Planets, and the experience of watching the stars accompanied by music throughout the event. Will anybody switch off all the lights in Bangkok so that people will be able to see the starry night? Plus the air pollution. We got a a basic telescope for the kid. At best you see half a dozen barely visible things. Only thing you can see properly is the moon. another wishful thinking idea from Thai authorities with no foresight. What about cloudy night. 😂😂😂😂 2 1
