A friend has a mole on her face that she would like to have removed. Safety and price are considerations. Can someone who has had such done recommend a doctor/clinic in Bangkok? Thanks.

He is asking for places in Bangkok

Safety not a big problem anywhere but the cosmetic results is a concern, presumably she wants this removed for cosmetic reasons so want to be sure she doesn't trade a mole for a scar.

Suggest she contact Yanhee hospital. Can do a free online consult first to get their idea about best approach (eg excision vs laser -- upload pictures including close up)   https://yanhee.net/virtual-consultation/

How it will look after removal on the face is a.question.  I have a small mole on my face .
One choice was just remove the top .  It would be smooth but look like a freckle. The other was is surgical removal .  Where the area around the mole is cut out. Then the whole mole is removed and stitched.  A tiny scar would remain.  I chose not to have either done.  So be sure to ask the doctor how it is going to look afterwards. And of course the doctor has to judge the condition of the mole for safety concerns.

I personally went to a place called THE KLINIQUE. They have several branches in Bangkok. Mostly in the malls. For me, they had a special of 5 moles/spots on the face for one price. That was a few years ago so I'm not sure of the pricing now. They are a little more expensive. I had 3 moles removed with no scarring. I am quite pleased with the results. I had 2 other areas done that weren't moles but blemishes. Those results lessened the visibility of the defect but not totally. I really didn't care about that. I just wanted the 3 moles removed of which they did a very good job.

Best to get advice from a Skin specialist/Dermatologist first before removing any moles.

There could be previously undetected cancer cells lurking within and underneath.

Moles that have changed in appearance eg. got darker or a more textured surface are worthwhile checking out before removing or tattooing over!

Would you say it is better to do this in a hospital than in a beauty-type clinic? And would you know any good docs at Yanhee? Thank you.

It depends on whether the mole is at all suspicious. If it has been there a very long time and has not changed in appearance or size then a clinic is probably OK provided the doctor is sufficiently skilled.

If there is any doubt about the mole then a hospital with biopsy.

I can't recommend a specific doctor at Yanhee for this but I think any of them should be OK. Do the online ocnsult first (it is free) and this will connect with a specific doctor
