As proposed will it actually be for the full month of APRIL 2024 ?

13th, 14th, 15th and 16th are the official days for chucking water around.  There may be other cultural celebration/activities during the rest of the month.

The full moon in April 2024 is 24th.

The date was originally set by astrological calculations, but it is now fixed on 13 April. The festival may be extended if some of the celebrations fall over a weekend.

It is usually a 10 celebration in Pattaya.

Would not be surprised if they stretched it out longer this year.

TAT actually think that tourists come specially for Songkran.

If so then many expats who think they will be liable for resident's tax will be using April as 30days of their 181 absentee days!

Not when I am wearing my business suit, carrying a laptop, going somewhere important, and some moron, quite often a pi55ed up farang ... squirts me with a life-threatening water gun.

And for the WHOLE of April is ludicrous. Instead of seven deadly days, it will be 30.

That's hilarious. Where might you be walking, while wearing your business suit and carrying a laptop? If I were in a suit going "somewhere important", I would drive.

Totally agree! Same thing happened to me many times when I had to go to work during Songkran!

Absolute nonsense the whole thing!

In the past at least CM kept it to 3/4 days max and I could go and hide when not working.

Going only 100m down the street in my case from my Office to the Bank!

You walk to work in a suit? How far?

There are only three days of holiday, everyone has to go back to work after that.

So since you say Songkran will last 1 month this year, banks will close 1 month? Try again

I said it would last 30 days as proposed. I did not say the country would shut down and everyone would get a month off and that there would be a month long water fight.
