Normally just leave the 800,000 in my bank year round to avoid any problems. Just renewed for another year at HH IO and would like to make better use of this money. I know the requirement is for the money to be in the account 3 months before renewal, heard there was some requirement for it to be there after renewal too, is this true?

I just keep the 800k in a Term Deposit year round. No hassles and renewal is painless. Only problem is to get the bank letter from Bkk Bank in Hua Hin without errors. Last time it took 3 efforts and the aged lady tasked doing this not very difficult task got really annoyed with me despite of the incompetence being her own. Face I guess.. TIT.

Check Long-Term Resident visa if you qualify. No foreign bank transfers required, no minimum bank balance required, no bank letter, annual vs 90-day extension notification.

I changed banks as kasikorn gave 0,05% for my 800k ...

I did like someone here said, move 400k to new bank on day 1

so both old and new had 400k, then day 2, move 400k from old to new

now hope immigration will not bust my balls extra over this

cannot ask for 12 months overview from neither old or new bank

but hope 3 months will be enough for new bank statement

and bring passbook from old bank, no bank letter from old bank
