Good morning.

Is this soup Curry Flavored(its color looks that way)?

No, the gold cube is Knorr chicken stock. It kind of looks like curry, because I cook and puree about half the vegetables and the chicken skin for the broth.

Hi, thank you for your advice.

I would like to try their cube stock next time.

As it looks useful to create  nice yellow/brownish color(for curry and stew).

The color just comes from the pureed vegetables, the stock is pretty colorless.

Started by baking some baguettes; into the oven at 4:20am after kneading and setting them for a second rise at 1:30am. Then made pancakes for breakfast with chicken (for the wife) and pork (for me) sausages and fried eggs. Late morning baked a dozen butter cookies and will add lime frosting shortly. Lunch is reheated leftovers from yesterday and never eat dinner.

Hit the Talat Thai fish market yesterday as do not plan to go out this weekend due to polution and traffic (events at Thammasat University and Dhamakaya).

Yesterday fish (Snapper), chips and mushy peas, today baked Black Pomfret, potato salad and a green salad.

Steer clear of Talat Thai this week traffic only gets worse in the run up to Chinese new year.

Hello, is this Kaeng Massaman, smooth and soupy southern Thai curry?

I often see the very similar food at the food stool on the road nearby.

Massaman comes in a variety of forms.  I've had more than few versions.  A few excellent ones stand out.  The rest are usually good enough, but wouldn't make a special trip for most.

Had an excellent Lamb Massaman this week.  Would definitely pop in, when in the area again.

Hello, KhunLA,

I just read your post.

Very unique form of Massaman  indeed(have never seen it before).

This one comes with no potato?

Yep, just a pile of Lamb, spiced up nicely.  And only ฿145, in a very comfy setting.
