webfact Posted January 31 Share Posted January 31 Pattaya —A shooting incident at a North Pattaya traffic light intersection early Wednesday morning left one person dead. The victim, identified as Mr. Panya Khayanngan, 39, an entertainment establishment guard in Pattaya, was shot multiple times while waiting at the traffic light. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly afterward. The incident transpired around 6:16 AM on January 31st at an intersection in North Pattaya, Naklua sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Pattaya police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene to find Mr. Panya’s overturned motorcycle and his body riddled with bullet wounds. Police collected from the scene four 9 mm bullet casings and one bullet. An eyewitness, identified only as Mr. Teoy, reported seeing the assailant approach Mr. Panya, while he was waiting at the traffic light, and opened fire before fleeing the scene. gomangosteen Posted January 31 Share Posted January 31 "entertainment establishment guard" (more commonly known as a thug in a black polo shirt) plenty of opportunities in that occupation to make an enemy or two. According to the latest report, the suspect has been identified as Mr. Prawet Chanthong, 31. Mr. Prawet’s mother, Mrs. Kanya, 57, informed police that her son, a Grab food delivery rider, had a heated conflict with the victim two days prior to the incident. This altercation reportedly resulted in her son being physically assaulted by the deceased and his peer. The exact nature of the dispute remains unclear, but it ultimately escalated to the fatal shooting.
