Madam is forever taking in waifs and strays, luckily, her penchant is for plants rather than dogs and cats.

So today she was given this plant, she's no idea what it is and neither did the lady who gave it to her.

Any ideas?

Is it fruit, flower, triffid?

Likes sunshine or shade or ...

The leaf shape should be an identifying marker.

Triffid. It looks like it might become a big tree but I don't know what it is. Pretty sure I have seen them around Pattaya.

Plantnet thinks (61%) it might be a ficus lyrata "Fiddle-Leaf Fig".

I have seen fruits that look like some kind of fig albeit inedible.

If it's this, it's a lovely shade tree but large. Did I mention large? Like many figs.

I estimate those trees would be 20 to 30 years old or more.
