eboy Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Until recently I was on an O-A retirement visa and usually filed my 90 day reports online. Last week I did a round-trip to Cambodia, without a re-entry permit. I'm now in Thailand as a tourist with a 30 day stamp in my passport. I'm in the process of applying for a Non-O visa. I just got an email to file my next 90 day report. But as of now I'm a tourist, so does this even apply? Should I ignore it? If not, what's the correct way to deal with it?
Popular Post KhaoNiaw Posted February 19, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 19, 2024 Just ignore it. The 90-day system automatically sends out the reminders from the previous report. It doesn't 'know' that you left the country or that your status has changed. So no action needed on your part. 1 4 1
scoutman360 Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 When you re-entered the country, the 90-day clock resets and starts over. The system just doesn't know you have been away. 1

eboy Posted February 19, 2024 Author Posted February 19, 2024 Thank you all for your unanimous replies. I'll ignore it!

Yes, 90-days counts from date of entry or date of extension of stay – varies from one immigration office to another – just ignore it, it's a kind reminder from the online system, as you have used that before.
Jaxxper Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 Ignore it. Reentry sets the counter to zero.

There are examples of extensions from a 90 day stamp and extension eg to visit wife that takes stay past 90 days and TM47 not required.

That is dependent on the particular immigration office you attend. Some offices will automatically do the report others will not.
john donson Posted February 21, 2024 Posted February 21, 2024 it might reset in theory, I would fill it in and go with it...
