Because the "new" legislation grows government, keeps the border open, processes the illegals in more quickly and gets them legal and voting faster. This is what the left wants.

The left can't have that. They need to maximize the number of people dependent on the government to solidify a large part of their base, and they need the minimum wage as tool to pander for votes.
