Are You Truly a trumper?

 

In the fever swamps of trumpistan, there are varying degrees of adoration and fanaticism. You might be ‘on the spectrum’, but where? Are you just a dilettante, or are you all the way to a 1-6-21 terrorist? With trump there is precious little ‘little’, and no ‘kind of’. You’re in balls to the wall or you’re out. You’re either committed (or is that should be committed?) or just evidencing a faddish affectation. No room for the latter. Be all-in or be gone, you tino! (trumper in name only).

 

In order to fine tune the degree to which a trumper is a true cult member, the following panel of questions was developed to assess and differentiate. Run through the list and give yourself a point when you agree with the statement or question, and then add up your score. Use a calculator, if you run out of fingers and toes. Dare to find out just how deep in the weeds you are.

 

Here are the grades, depending on your point total:

 

0-5: Ha! That’s it? You must be LGBTQ+

 

6-10: Not naïve and gullible enough; you’re in need of re-education on Fox or Newsmax before you're qualified to put on your China-made red hat again

 

11-15: Congrats! You get placed on a mailing list for those running the Nigerian 419 Scam; you have the kind of credulity they can exploit

 

16-20: I bet you’ll use your SSDI and SNAP to fund a bus ticket to trump’s next rally Hate-in

 

21-25: Be at the Capitol on 8 January 2025; “It’ll be WILD!”

 

25: Step aside Kari Lake, you’re the new VP (just do your ‘duty’ on 8 January 2025 or get hung)

This is going to be the ugliest election in US history because of people like the op. 

Unbelievable that anyone would consider voted for Biden again, he's totally incompetent, confused and forgetful.

I like him, as he shook up the deep state, and exposed the swamp for what it is, along with MSM.

 

I don't want him as President again.   Might be better than Dem candidate for the USA, but not me and the exchange rate & COLA.  Might mean loosing 25% on the exchange rate, and 50+% on COLA.

Voting for Biden, if he gets the nod, will probably mean a Harris presidency also, before 2028.   Even scarier for the USA & world, but great for me.

People will vote for Trump as he is not Biden and people will vote for Biden as he is not Trump.  Neither have any redeeming characteristics that would qualify them as Presidential so people will vote for the lessor of the 2 evils, as they see it.   Those who have sacrificed their ability to reason will take their cues from either their CNN or Fox overlords and what will be will be. 

 

Everyone else will just carry on as they realise that neither of these 2 incompetent old fools will really make much difference to their lives as the office doesn't really have much in the way of power anyway.   The useful idiots will carry on writing long stupid lists like the OP to make them feel virtuous that their particular media overlord is the right one.

Say what you will about Biden.. the Biden administration however, has done an excellent job, which is now reflected in strong jobs growth, rising GDP, and markets at record highs, stabilizing energy prices and managing to bring inflation back down again (a so called soft landing), countering putins vile aggression in Ukraine, trying to make the cost of energy unaffordable to the western world (and the rest of the world). A vote for Biden and his admin, is a vote for stability and continued growth as opposed to all the instability, insecurity and unpredictability that follows Trump..

I find it funny watching US videos from people on the left and other videos from people on the right.

When I listen to the right wing guys, I have to admit that they often tell the truth when they talk about the idiot (extreme) left.

When I listen to the left-wing guys, they often tell the truth about the fanatic right wingers.

Both sides seem to think that because on the other sides are fanatics and idiots that this is a reason to vote for the opposite.

Unfortunately, there are just too many crazy idiots on both sides.

Sometimes I see videos from Matt Walsh arguing with some left-wing idiots. Most of the time he is correct, and they are wrong.

And when right leaning people see that, I can understand that they think something like: I will never vote for those left idiots.

But then, look at the right-wing idiots.

It was about 20+ years ago when the Dem's refused to accept the result of the election & took it to court etc,.

The Hanging Shard or something -( I actually thought they were right on that one)  I was quite friendly with 2 yanks at the local gym then, these guys had actually gone to school together (1 wife dies the other divorced)

& they came out here same time-- They started arguing about this "Hanging Shard" & it turned physical, 2 old age pensioners rolling around on the gym floor --over what politician should be in power--How sad.

 

I left Pattaya about then to go Issan--but was told about 12 years latter one had died & his boyhood school friend still refused to speak to his Thai wife or go to his funeral.

 

 

 

My Wife supported Trump the first time (She is a fairly right wing Isaan Woman) Now she won't vote for him, he just won't stop yapping. I am not sure who she will go for though, she vehemently hates Biden, Harris and Newsome (Gov of California). 

I am a mildly right leaning centrist, both sides have some good and bad points.

 

I don't have the heart to tell her that the MFP who she whole heartedly supports and liberal Democrats are not that far off, and the previous government in charge was essentially right wingers.

 

Most Thais here are right wing Republicans for whatever reason, but support liberal governments in Thailand. I don't think they understand the difference.

The free, up to 4th grade education that was offered in Thailand 50 years ago would be one of the reasons.

Good observation, but I would say they have no political metrics to help them understand the difference. They have never experienced anything other than serial despotic manipulations dressed up in fancy rhetoric and hyperbole, such as their 'special democracy' nonsense. The political mechanisms of other countries are pretty much an alien concept.

You've got that right as well, and it's not going to be allowed to improve for at least another 50 years.

The tribal element is huge in American politics.  A lot of people like Trump because he stands as being against the wokeness that is ruining much of American culture right now.  Similarly, fairly centrist people see how much the left-wing (self-styled "good guys" and claimers of the permanent moral high ground) lie and slander about Trump and find that they can't help but root for him.  It's funny, really, because if the left didn't lie so much, people would probably view Trump in a far more negative light.

 

Equally, people are drawn to Biden because he's on "their side" and seen as the only person who can "keep Trump out of the Whitehouse".  So matter how corrupt or creepy he is, no matter what his mental health, people can't help but want him to be president.

 

It's all kind of farcical.
