Thailands number 1 forum improves by leaps and bounds since Thaiger takeover.
I wouldn’t say it has gone downhill, or even uphill for that matter, but it has changed direction. AI and fake news being two of the worst offenders in bringing the level of intelligent posting down. Are there too many posts about Trump ??, probably, but it is the main current affairs topic at the moment, Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Gaza rounding off the top 3. If you don’t have any interest in these topics then maybe move on to something more to your liking ? Still plenty of helpful threads around to attract interest but not much Thailand related stuff these days . If you don’t like those in it for clicks ( Bob and his many spin offs, Malc or the fan of Harris ! ) then seek other topics, i personally will avoid most of the dross posted by the above but occasionally get dragged in by curiosity, as this post is an example. What is more frequent and more annoying is the insertion of one’s political agenda in to any topic, it is always the same posters and the same key words involved ( cue you know who to give me a leftist reply to this post ). All in all the forum still allows us to ask for help, air our views, slander those old enemies or even give useful positive advice to others, the choice is yours. -

thanks Fred, I just checked my history books. You went into Vietnam to fight “communism” Vietnam is still communist. You went into to Afghanistan to fight Osama Bin Laden, who was a Saudi hiding out in Pakistan. But Saudi was too powerful with their oil and Pakistan has nukes, so Afghanistan it was. You went into Iraq for imagined Weapons of Mass Destruction that you imagined. Now you want to go into Greenland and Panama. -

Those out of work folks still will not have a "well paying job" as most of them don't have the correct degree to operate the AI consoles. Meanwhile some manufacturers of TODAY are moving their operation to Mexico! John Deere farming equipment Boeing, Ford...yessir and that means that thousands of yesterday's workers will now be out of a job/health insurance/retirement savings, college funds for their kids and guess their young daughters will only get ONE doll and ONE pencil. Menawhile Trump continues to press the Congress to pass that BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL which includes tax breaks for the richest group! Instead of accepting that 400 million dollar plane for himself he ought to auction it off to his rich buddies an donate it to the American out of work folks! -

Yeah, it's weird. Especially because the UK has benefited so enormously from the U.S. in the past 100 years. Oh well, Thailand attracts a lot of bitter, angry old men who like to blame their lack of success in life on others (and most of them are on AseanNow 😁). I'm not saying Malcolm is one of these guys, but I'm not saying he's not, either.- 1
