Thailand Announces New Minimum Wage Increase for 2025
Don't forget that this wage increase ( like the last one) will make vendors raise their prices as well as decreasing the quantity of food given for each order. The country will see price increases across the board whether it is needed or not. -

Chiang Rai: Father and Two Children Found Dead in Bathroom
Picture from responders. In a harrowing incident, a father and his two young children were found dead in a bathroom near a pavilion in Mae Khao Tom Subdistrict, Chiang Rai. The tragedy, which unfolded in the early hours of Christmas Day morning, has left the local community in shock. The sole survivor, an eight-year-old boy, managed to escape and seek help from a local resident. The child, bearing marks on his neck from a rope, ran approximately 500 metres to a nearby garden, where he told a worker that something terrible had happened to his father and two siblings. The local resident immediately alerted the village headman and waited with the child until the authorities arrived. Village headman, Mr Boonchuan Hunnamthiang, revealed that the father, identified as Mr Therd, had been struggling with severe stress since separating from his wife three to four months ago. "Since the separation, he drank heavily, day and night," Mr Boonchuan said. "This morning, he volunteered to take his three children to school, but instead, he took them to the scene of the incident." According to the police, Mr Therd used a rope to harm his three children before taking his own life. However, the eldest son managed to struggle free as the rope used on him broke due to its fragility. The child fell to the ground and fled the scene, running to seek help. Chiang Rai police chief, Pol. Col. Ananchak Kanoknopawat, stated that preliminary investigations suggest Mr Therd had been under immense pressure following the separation. His ex-wife had reportedly left the three children in his care, and he had been battling emotional and financial difficulties since. The children's grandmother, who shared the home with Mr Therd, confirmed that he had been drinking before leaving the house with the children that morning. She explained that the eldest son had a school field trip planned, and Mr Therd had offered to drop all three children off at school. Authorities are conducting further investigations and have assured the public that support will be provided to the surviving child, who is currently receiving medical treatment and psychological care. -- 2024-12-26 -

Three Palestinian babies freeze to death in Gaza as winter sets in
"In the past 48 hours...at least two have died from low temperatures and a lack of access to warm shelter" It's the Palestinian leadership that are denying them access to shelter. No one is freezing in Qatar or in the tunnels of Gaza. They value the lives of foreign hostages more than their Palestinian infants. That seems to be the only point on which the Palestinian leadership agrees with the Israeli leadership.
