At least here it is no problem. Always used previous day.

What they want is a bank book update from same day. (you could have withdrawn the millions overnight )

Not true, being a fixed term deposit my bank book wasn't updated today (it was last updated 6 days ago with monthly interest on the 20th)

Since you bank letter was dated on the same day you applied for the extension, they obviously didn't need bankbook update

like i said, makes no sense based on years of posts

Rules change, that's the point of my thread to show the current rules, not what people perceive them to be after years of posts 😉

Not seen anyone else say the same in 100s of posts on the 90 day thread. Ok wait until September and see if you get fined

There's just no convincing you is there. You must update passbook same day as bank letter, nope mine was 6 days apart, you must do 90 day report 14 July, nope they gave me a logical 90 date report date 90 days after I just provided them with more details than that of a 90 day report. Be happy they are actually applying common sense

Let us know how it goes Jul/Sep

Just to clarify the 90 day report date, I googled many other forums and all say your first 90 day report is required 90 days after issuance of the first 12 month extension. This is exactly what Jomtien did with me which is why I'm to report 24 Sep after an extension stamp of 26 June (not 14 July which is the last day of my 90 day non-imm O).

That's correct and the last time an extension will trigger a 90 day report.

There are few offices that sync ongoing extensions with a 90 report.  Not common

Agree! When doing your first extension of stay to a Non-Immigrant O Visa, Jomtien will set up your next 90 day report to be 90 days from date of extension application.  Future renewal(s) of your extension will have no relationship to the 90 day address reporting date.  When you do the 90 day report Jomtien gave you, your next report will be 90 days from the date you report which can be from 14 days before to 7 days after the due date.   The fine for late filing can be up to 5000 baht but Jomtien normally fines 2000 baht.

Something else I noticed, every counter where you pay baht had these new "No Gifts Allowed" signs. I wanted to take a photo but didn't think it would be appropriate 😀

Next step of my Jomtien retirement process is to get a Residence Certificate in order to get a licence and buy a car. I'm thinking I need a photo, copy of my Condo Chanote, copy of passport ID page and Visa page, and TM30?

Do I need to have a 90 day report done first as thats not until Sep?  Do I need two for licence and car purchase or can I copy it? Is there a valid until date?

Thanks for any advice

If you are obtaining both car and bike at same time you can get one certificate and photocopy.

However don't tick both box for car also bike as they will issue 2

So if I do tick both box I can get 2, one I can use and copy for car/bike licences and other original I can use to buy car? Or do I need a separate application to buy car?

Yes.

Also here is a cut paste from one guys experience at Jomitien for COR Aug last year below.

Not sure about same day.

Since you own condo obviously no rental contract however some proof of address...eg TM30 etc

"300 me too just last week, Jomtien. 2 photos, tm30, rental contract, passport and copy of passport including details page, page with first visa, latest visa and entry stamp, application form stating reason for application. Same day."

Here is form CW use.

The Pattaya City Expats Club has a webpage listing the documents required and process at Jomtien Immigration Office: https://pcec.club/ResidencyCertificate/

As noted, if being used for both car and motorcycle license, tick only one of those on the request form and you can use it and a photocopy at the Dept of Land Transport Office to obtain both licenses.

However, you will probably need a another original certificate for purchasing a vehicle especially if the transfer is being handled by an auto dealer.  If buying from the owner, the section in the Land Transport Office that handles it is separate from the driving license section and will most likely want an original residence certificate.

Good point and indeed that's exactly what the OP is doing.

One COR (+photocopy) for car and bike.

In addition one COR for car purchase
