Legalise drugs please

Just watched a YouTube video that was just released by this YouTuber ASIA NOW 

I have been very upset after watching this and I will admit I had a tear run down my cheeks 

I actually cried when I seen the man's innocent face 

 

The YouTube video is about a 86yo American war  veteran 🇺🇸who has stage 3 Cancer of both bowel and prostate 

Lee apparently is his name 

 

He was apparently arrested 8 months ago in Cebu Philippines for growing several marijuana plants in his apartment apparently for his illness and is in a crowded prison wearing a catheter and had not had any visitors for 8 months !

 

Where are you ex American veterans and or veterans association???😲

I will try to contact them if anyone knows to help this old man 

He is still in jail in Cebu Philippines 

 

Yet 3 hours away in Thailand it's ok !

 

Why not legalise drugs all around the world ?

Why not you ask ?

And other AIR Supply songs 

 

I guess they have been depressed me , we need to think how lucky we are compared to this old man jailed for smoking weed

It's not just legal or not legal. 

It's also about who can buy it and where. And what will be done to protect vulnerable people?

Illegal drugs are often dirty and because it's illegal there are huge margins for criminals, including killers.

Legalizing drugs can solve part of those problem, but obviously it brings new problems.

It has to be thought through in detail. That's what most politicians don't want to do, and many voters don't understand.

If it is illegal, then he shouldn't do it.

He could move to somewhere else where it is legal.

Or he can ask a doctor to give him (other) drugs.

You Sir have made good points BUT we must not forget that this could be a morally injustice...if that is the correct words ...to jail a 86yo man 

There may be however other words to describe it

It appears this elderly man , if one may say that or to be PC this mature aged man was "dobbed in by ex GF ...who if one must be politically correct...would be no doubt more descriptive as an ex partner

My dear friend...😊, the Philippines got a hard anti-drug law. If you live there you know that, as a wise man of 86 in particular.

So to have your own drug garden is illegal.

To get Cannabis as medicine the hospitals are open and will help you. Sure, it's not for free, which might be an issue for this old chap.

No need to pity him🙏

After all, alcohol is also a narcotic, isn't it?

 

Thailand and Germany have already legalized cannabis.

 

The next step will probably be legalizing cocaine and crystal meth in Thailand. What do you think?

Besides the 7/11 style pot shops opening up here in Thailand after the fuzzy legalization, things appear the same as before the laws changed. I havent noticed any change here in Pattaya where its prolly had the most impact. There are the jumpers but I doubt it was from toking on a number and diggin on the radio.
