Four Charges Filed Against Driver in Bus Fire That Killed 23
You are of course correct in your first two sentences. The root of the problem appears in your third sentence. After being here for 7 years and now tired of pondering the problem I have concluded that the Thai culture does not want to do better; they are satisfied to regularly lose family members to needless death and injury. Every culture faces such decisions and lives accordingly. As visitors here we have no choice but to accept the danger of living in such a culture as we can not change it. When anywhere within sight of a road, path, sidewalk, or trail it is wise to assume that every vehicle approaching you intends to do you bodily harm. Of course this is seldom true but it still happens because the Thai people collectively choose not to change. If the risk is not acceptable then you have the option of never leaving your domicile or just leave the country. Other than to pass the time there is no reason to waste any emotion on such reports......the Thai people certainly don't. -

Elon Musk: Trump as the ‘Only Way’ to Preserve U.S. Democracy, Says Billionaire
Why wouldn't you be? Because perhaps a Nicaraguan farmer is ill equipped to evaluate the issues that come up in an American presidential election? He has lived all his life outside of the US except for a few years, and now he gets to decide on who should govern, what taxes should be put in place? How does this not concern you? Democracy was not built for mass immigration, it was built for a small local population with a vested interest and land ownership. If mass immigration involves rights of citizenship and the power to vote, this would be a massive distortion of the political landscape in due course. -

Inferno bus in use for 54 years
I have perused factories that rebuild buses from the chassis up in Thailand. Between Bangkok and Kanchanaburi, if I recall. They look nothing like the original when they're done. But I was appalled at the plywood frames and the thin aluminum skins. They looked like they'd either burst into flames or turn into matchsticks in a collision. Or both. -

Israel and Hezbollah Exchange Blows in Pre-emptive Strikes and Retaliatory Attacks
If the Iranians blatantly strike Israel, I believe that the Israeli's will make every effort to stop the nuke weapons program or hamper further progress. Just my opinion which is allowed on this forum. -

Is street food good for you? Old rancid oil. Cheap oil. Food dripping with oil.
Down to #4 for me, as never used or looked for Avocado oil. I'll stick with .. ... EVOO ... Coconut (for making chocolate) ... Cannoli ... have peanut, but I think when we run out, won't use again. All cold or first press, none over refined. For frying proteins & added flavor, Beef Tallow & Butter -

BREAKING NEWS IRAN ATTACKS ISRAEL
What are the World Courts doing about the clear war crimes being committed on a daily basis ? Taking hostages is a war crime . Killing hostages is a war crime . The World Court could have a field day prosecuting the numerous Hamas war crimes . What is the World Court waiting for ? -

Inferno bus in use for 54 years
Some inaccuracies in the stories about this accident. At first they wrote it was a kindergarten, then they mentioned kids aged 7 and 14, now they say it was a primary school which still doesn't sound right for a 14 years old... Now they're saying the bus was manufactured in 1970. Although I was a young kid back then, I can't remember ever seeing a bus that looks like this 1 back then
