You want cold beaches?:coffee1:

No thanks. Just a cooling breeze … and a refreshing water temperature … and where you don’t need to walk a kilometre out to sea before the water is waist-high.

Water temp is ideal. Just walk 200m you get deeper water.

The big win for us ex-pats here is that it is so, so cheap.

Can walk into any market and come out fully togged up for under 300 baht.

A decent meal is 40 baht. Water is usually on the table and is free.

Accommodation; 6k a month.

Transport; very reasonable.

If you have to. A nice looking bit of fluff for the night will set you back 400 baht.

A fresh pineapple from a street vendor just 25 baht.

Get your cat food in 20k bags.

Don't spend money on dentists and the like.

Cut yer own hair.

Easy to live in Isaan for less than 15k  month. Of course one can always pay more. But not everyone has money to waste.

40 baht meals are not good. Be honest. 15,000 :cheesy:

Try 30,000.

I don't agree Susanlea.

Even sausages on a stick are only 5 baht each. And you usually get some salad in with them for free. a pow-pow up here is 40 baht. Lovely! But 5 baht extra if yer want an egg on top.
