GammaGlobulin
Hi Folks, It seems that, always, around this time of year, we get these tiny ants in our homes, crawling over almost everything and everyone. These ants seem to be seasonal in their proliferation in our homes. So, is there any way to rid our homes of these tiny pests, without poison? Or, is poison the only way? If poison is the only way, then maybe it might be best to just endure them for another few weeks until they finally leave? What I like least is that these tiny ants crawl on our bodies. Sure, it does not really bother me that much. But, I just wish there was some way to get rid of them without the use of poison. This is NOT a big thing for me. This is the same as almost every year. And so, maybe just endure it for a short time, until the ants leave of their own accord? What is the best policy, in this case, do you think? Thank you. Gamma Note: I might need to call an exterminator, in any case, just to have the house poisoned for the possibility of termite infestation. Not sure, yet.... So.... I will need to call an exterminator, I guess. This is really the only sure way, as you say. ..... So then, do you think it might be sufficient to use insecticides outside, and around, the house? This has been my thinking. For example, what about contracting for the anti-termite service? Surely, the poison they use would kill almost everything. And then, what is the reasonable price to pay for such service?

Mason45
I even had ants in my bed, so I purchased ARS ant killer from Lazada, it cost 70 baht. It worked in less than a hour, so far I've had no ants for 3-4 months.

A good all round ant and insect killing insecticide will do the trick. Anti Termite service if a good one is a good choice. and Will kill many different pests and good insects as well. Pest control services cost from about thb 4 K up per Yr. depending on Location. I use just the spray cans In /around the house when I go on Ant war. Outside and the Garden /Veg garden and Fence I use some Insecticide . This seems to work pretty good ,But it is asn ongoing problem as the ant/insects coming in from the neighbors and everywhere. fredwiggy
Try vinegar or peppermint oil slightly diluted. Works but only temporary

Tks for the info. I need to begin Ant War, soon,....maybe. And, maybe, NOT maybe. Once the ants begin to crawl on one's person, then.... The war begins. Maybe, as you say, I will just find the best DIY solutions.... What is your over-the-counter and off-the-shelf brand, by the way?

(These ants can just go anywhere, and even if there is no purpose for them to be somewhere. There is no food for them, in my bed, for example. I think they are just randomly exploring.) Unfortunately, I think you are correct. So, therefore, if this is really the only solution, then...just better to live with the ants....rather than to.... Live without my house. (These ants are mostly seasonal, anyway.) Edited Friday at 12:36 AM by GammaGlobulin
save the frogs
Dont poison them, you cruel heartless human being you. Make a contraption filled with sugar, molasses, honey, anything else sweet that ants would like to eat. They will enter the contraption, then just MOVE to contraption outside without killing any ants.

That ought to kill these ants!
fondue zoo
You need to open up negotiations, reach out to the ant leaders and seek a dialog so that Man and Formicidae may coexist in peace and harmony. In essence, cut a deal with them. ..that or, burning chemicals. Edited Friday at 01:33 AM by fondue zoo
