He certainly seems to be implying that the GOP are on the dark side, so ergo he must be claiming that the Dems are better ie on the side of angels.

Settling out of court is not an admission of guilt and he's only been found guilty on one of the court cases against him.

In any event, he could be found guilty on all the charges and still become POTUS. As long as Biden refuses to abandon his re election campaign it's likely, IMO, that Trump will win.

How about Trump taking gender out of marriage in the new platform and saying that abortion cannot hot be banned at the federal level? I am gay so taking gender out of the social constructs of marriage makes sense. This is why i was denied my right to marry for decades. That is freedom jn all marriages whatever you believe.

No where near to similar practices. As an example during the recent debate trump used 29 lies / disinformation, Biden 5. Additionally Biden doesn't have any civil or criminal convictions and so on. Check out AP, haven't used BBC as will generate the usual BS.

Biden's crimes just haven't been investigated by the IMO biased American so called justice system. They are discussed quite often on this forum though.

IMO marriage is an institution best disposed of in the dustbin of history as not fit for purpose. It was useful before women became independent and had state aid, but now, IMO it is only of use for women to take the man for everything they can get, and for lawyers minting it off the debris of people's lives.

I don't get why anyone wants to be married anymore- the offspring are not called bastards now and there are so many from unmarried people it's no longer a stigma.

It has a failure rate of at least 50 %. Would you buy a car with a 50% fail rate?

He was President for 4 years during which time he appears to have been no worse than most of his predecessors, and better than many. I am also told by a number of people that know him well that he is a loyal friend, has a likeable personality, and an engaging sense of humour. What, then, is the reason for the hatred ?

trump refused to commit to support a number of allies. e.g. the Kurds who lost 10,000 people fighting ISIS. Documented 30,000 plus lies during his presidency. A recent example approx 29 lies during his recent debate with Biden; completely untrustworthy. Failed in his oath to protect the Constitution, attempted to overturn the 2020 election. Be known for years to be a fraudster e.g. trump university, during presidency attempted to dismantle government agencies, one method was to appoint people with zero applicable experience, removed numerous protections for the environment etc etc - there are plenty more.

To read some of the posts on here, he personally went out and murdered everyone that died during covid, is best buds with Putin and is going to put all his opponents in concentration camps if he gets elected again.

Topic is trump, not Bush. You omitted to mention  trump promised to reduce the nation debt. However, exactly the opposite, he generated additional $8.4 trillion of debt for the US, hardly a good economic manager!
