Will he?

I would expect so.  It's mandatory for murder.  I guess there might some hope of future release bearing in mind his age (see Jamie Bulger's murderers) but in the current climate I would say, and hope, life will be life.

Ah ok its just good to see you are so confident, I'd rather wait for the outcome first.

Yes, and he will rightly be jailed for life.

I expect he will be killed in prison, and most won't shed a tear.

I wrote "jailed for life" - i.e. a life sentence.  I understand that his age is likely to prevent a whole life term, like with Jamie Bulger's killers who I referred to.

So not jailed for life then.

I suspect you're not familiar with UK law, so here's some help:

"A life sentence in the UK means that a person will spend the rest of their life in prison or on license in the community. The length of time served in prison depends on the minimum term set by the judge and whether the offender is granted parole."

I understand the terminology.

It is misleading.

"Jailed for life" does not mean you will actually be jailed for life.

It could be, the judge can give a whole life order

No, he cannot.  If he gives a sentence he is not allowed to give then it is grounds for appeal and would be overturned.   Just like the Bulger killers he will be released at some point and given anonymity and a new identity so he can live a life that he took away from 3 little girls.

Wow, because of his age?

Funny how the BBC are so quick to mention that this monster of a child killer was "from Lancashire".

Yet on the same page, all round nice guy and England international Cole Palmer was somehow "Made in the Caribbean" because he has a grandfather from St.Kitts who came over in the 1960's. 😄

Gotta love the BBC and their narratives. I wonder when they will be running their "Made in Rwanda" story on Rudakubana?

Oh that's right - they won't.

Their double standards are breathtaking.

Apparently so.  If I was in charge he would already be executed for this atrocity.   I see no purpose in keeping him alive at great expense to the taxpayer.  He will be a permanent drain on resources for however long he lives, and I don't even think he should have any right to any kind of life at all after taking it away from 3 little girls.   In all likelihood he will commit a similar atrocity if he is released in future as he will be revered by his fellow Islamists in jail and be further radicalized.

Buried under the media storm re. the Trump inauguration, naturally.

Jonny and his completely imagined paranoid fantasies again. It was hardly "buried". It was up there as a breaking news story at the top of the home page yesterday, and today is still right there on the home page as main news. Get over yourself.

You have to scroll down about 3 pages to see it, and even then there is no picture (for obvious reasons) and they refer to him as an "18 year old" before mentioning the riots. The only surprise is they omitted the phrase "far right thugs" from the headline.

Less important than weight loss drugs apparently.

Home page. Two stories about it  right there- including a prominent picture - and a story right there critical of Starmer's judgement. All on the main home page, no scrolling required.

But yeah, something something weight loss, something something BBC burying it, something something three pages down.

Get over yourself, your imagination really is out of control. Going through life with that amount of paranoia and constant imagined grievance must be exhausting.

Nice puff piece in there with the obligatory "first day at school" picture. 😄
