If you struggle to clearly place yourself left or right, you might find this interesting:

A lot of people actually have much stronger opinions on authoritarian vs libertarian than they do on left vs right. They tend to get lumped together with an assumption that right is authoritarian and left is libertarian, but they are completely independent of each other.

Still haven't a clue what a libertarian is, though definitely anti-authoritarian.   That I'm a bit right isn't too surprising.

EDIT, OK, Libertarian works for me.  Wow, got my own label.  'Right leaning Lib':cheesy:

The strange is, those who apologize for Israel, do not apologize for Russias land graps and war. There is the core of double morality which brakes down the trust and values we have as human beings.

As much we condemned Russia, we should condemn Israel.

Both Ukraine and Israel got invaded by Russia and Hamas respectively .

Ukraine and Israel are the Countries that got attacked , Russia and Hamas did those attacks .

The only difference between the two is that Israel is faring better at fighting back against their attackers

It was Hamas who invaded Israelis territory and committed war crimes there .

Hamas are committing war crimes on a daily basis against civilians .

Those are facts , you cannot hide from facts

I'm done debating this now. I know where you stand, and you know where I stand.

Can you acknowledge and accept that Hamas invaded Israel's territory on Oct 7 th ?

Nobody denies that, but there is some who choose to overlook the history building up to their terrorist attack.

And I co time to say, both parts are equal guilty in the war and conflicts going on for 100 years

You don't seem to know much about the history .

The UK inherited the land when the Ottoman empire fell in 1922 and the UK didn't want the land and the UK left in 1948 .

   The UK didn't colonise Israel

Everything that's right and far right in my country is based on socialist values, and would be recond as communist ideas and practice in Us. Still from being green (middle ground) I'm now unfortunate pushed more right because of the left extremes pushing the democratic idea to far beyond the limits.

If we just could agree on equal rights, and not minority trumps the majority idea and values. As well immigration problems. Immigration is good as long there is resources to handle them in an appropriate way, language, schools work etc, but with religious freedom, it is over the top, and to big challenge for a small country who feel the invasion as a step on our values, and we have to adjust, and not them.

Well, that's part of it

Equality is not practiced, and thats what makes people unhappy.

Equality doesn't mean you can say or do what you want, but everyone have equal rights and duties to pull in the same direction and not minority controlled.

I ask you to cut me a bit of slack as a retired history Prof. We have much middle ground on which to agree here (voted Green as opposed to Trump and Clinton). Completely agree of equality and yesterday, having studied US history and having taught 41 years in Kentucky … you see Kentucky had segregated schools for decades, as did many other states. Those students got hand me down, outdated books, their motivation due to the conditions and hope for a better future were dashed by the racial political reality so … I do not disagree with helping giving a shot at , for example, attending institutions of higher learning. It does get complicated and would better be discussed over coffee or a glass of wine. But I also have limitations to my feeling of justified compensatory social programs … I firmly oppose direct financial compensation for families having been held in slavery before the American Civil War for example,
