Guess the Song.

Something a bit more recent…

Hi there R__ , it’s been a little while , did you miss me?

You thought you’d buried me , didn’t you?
Risky , ‘cause I always come back , deep down , you know that.

Deep down you know I’m always in periphery.

R__ , aren’t you pleased to see me?

It’s been weeks since we spoke , so I know that you need me.

You’re the sheep , I’m the shepherd , not your place to lead me.

Not your place to be biting off the hand that feeds me.

That was too easy ... try this ...

"No one likes us
I don't know why
We may not be perfect
But heaven knows we try
But all around
Even our old friends put us down
Let's drop the big one
And see what happens"

I remember this from the movie “blast from the past” starring Brendan Fraser & Christopher Walken , haven’t a clue the the song title or artist , great movie though..👍

She came from Greece , she had a thirst for knowledge.

She studied sculpture at St. Martins College.

That’s where I , caught her eye.

She told me that her dad was loaded.

Well in that case , I’ll have a rum & coca-cola.

She said “fine”

and in 30 seconds time she said…

Don't start that talking
I could talk all night
My mind goes sleep walking
While I'm putting the world to right

I was answering to the lyrics posted by khunLA , post number 5 , the lyrics reminded me of this movie that they were featured in towards the end , still don’t know the name of the song or whether it was a hit in the charts , khunLA might know..

At first reading I was sure this was Radiohead , 2 + 2 = 5 , the putting the world to right line is very similar , Oliver’s Army - Elvis Costello

I remember when this song was out it was rumoured to be about 'knocking one out'. Supposedly, you looked like you were 'turning Japanese' when you were about to cum. Don't know if there was any truth to the rumour. 555

And all the roads we have to walk are winding.

And all the lights that lead the way are blinding.

There are many things that I would like to say to you , but I don’t know how.

When my love said to me
Meet me down by the gallow tree
For it's sad news I bring
About this old town and all that it's offering

A reminder yet again the thread is a hit record that charted not a album song, a favorite, or a song from a Movie.

i have given 2 that no one has seemed to find yet :)

And the night, the night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough

Are you thinking Oasis, She's Electric. If so,

She's got one in the oven

But it's nothing to do with me...

Simple Minds, Belfast Child.

In fact this is Simple Minds only true No. 1 hit in the UK. The more popular "Don't you forget about me", used in John Hughes's 1985  "Breakfast Club" movie, was actually written for the movie by Steve Forsey and Steve Schiff (ex Nina Hagen Band) and originally proposed to Brian Ferry, who turned it down.
