To get there by aircraft they have to pass by or over unfriendly countries, and they will no doubt be waiting for the attack. It would be easiest to eliminate the refueling aircraft as they fly more slowly, and without refueling the attack aircraft will not get back, and no friendly countries to land in.

I assume it'll be by missiles or Iranian interests elsewhere.

You assume wrong and you were also wrong about Netanyahu "going full terminator" in another post. :saai:

The US and the world are watching Israel closely.

The US has demanded proof on the ground that Israel does not have a policy of starvation in northern Gaza as it turned up the pressure on the Netanyahu government to allow more aid into the territory.

The US ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, told the security council on Wednesday at a meeting convened by France UK and Algeria that such a policy “would not just be horrific and unacceptable” but also had “implications under international and US law”

Hamas knew that Israel would retaliate for the October 7 massacre.  What they may not have expected is Israel's determination to bring Hamas to its knees to prevent this from happening again.

There is no doubt many innocent people are being maimed and killed, but unfortunately this is the price of war.

Hamas can stop this, but they won't.

Strange logic. Hamas would stop it, in my opinion, if Israel stop occupying them, it isn't rocket science. This is all about the Israeli Occupation and Apartheid system in greater Israel.

I don't think Jordan was too happy with that  as it is a violation of its airspace. This can lead to an angry response, and yes I know Jordan is not in a position to stop it, but the Jordanians have been helpful, shooting down Iranian and Hezbollah launched missiles when they violate Jordanian airspace.

Jordan are not happy. Blinken is a biased buffoon.

The Israeli victims of Gazan rape and sexual violence has been documented. Are you saying it is a lie because the women are Israeli?

The trafficking of Yazidi children to be used as sex slaves has been documented. The most recent liberation occurred a week ago. As you won't accept Israeli sources, will the Qatari Al jazeera suffice?

Israel left Hamas alone hoping they would concentrate on bettering the lives of the people of Gaza.  Instead of Hamas spent a fortune constructing an elaborate tunnel system, basically a fortified underground city. Then came the October massacre.  The rest is history.  No need for rocket science, as you say, to counter your argument that Hamas was justified in committing such atrocities.

Hamas squandered an opportunity to bring a better life to those they governed.  Too late now.

To give more detail from The Wall Street Journal article:

Israel Offered Hamas Leaders Safe Passage Out of Gaza for Hostages’ Freedom

In a meeting with Egyptian officials this past week, Israel’s spy chief and top cease-fire negotiator David Barnea made a new offer to break the impasse with Hamas. Leaders of the U.S.-designated terrorist group would have safe passage to another country in exchange for laying down their arms and releasing the hostages, Arab mediators said.

It was an idea with echoes of Israel’s 1982 war in Lebanon, when Yasser Arafat and fellow Palestinian militants were allowed to leave Beirut for Tunisia.

But Hamas rejected the idea, Arab mediators said. Khalil al-Hayya, Hamas’s top cease-fire negotiator, said the offer showed how Israel was still misreading the group and warned it could continue fighting for months, if not years, the mediators said.
