How to make San Mig Light taste like real beer...

Featured Replies

OK, so I've been eating carnivore for the last 3 months and loving it, down 15 kilos and feeling great.

But, I still like to drink beer most days, so it's a constant battle to stay in ketosis.

The lower carb the beer, the easier it is to stay in ketosis, and of course San Mig Light is super cheap and easy to get.

But it tastes like dishwater.

So any tips on things you can add to it to make it tatste better?

A slice of lime doesn't seem to do much, 7 Up or Sprite top helps but isn't really that good and it's adding sugar so not really what I'm looking for, although thinking about I guess they have zero suagr options so should probably try that...

Anyway - any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Try another beer from the options and maybe more exercise to burn those calories.

Singha light is not available any more I believe. They say it's been relabeled as My Beer, but I couldn't find any numbers.

Better than San Miguel light though.

Good compare, just in case people confused, both SML and Heineken are brewed in Thailand

Why are folk suggesting low calorie when OP wants low carb?  San Mig zero has zero sugar so almost certanly fewer carbs than others at 1.5g per bottle.  (It is also lower in calories) as it happens)

Sadly San Mig Zero is only 3.5% - not enough for me.

So you drink for effect then.  Large vodka and soda....zero carbs.

Don't like spirits, only beer.

Asahi is a far better keto option than the San Mig light

Drink some chang and then urinate in the San Mig light,   should improve matters

it's not a calorie problem..   it's the carbs ! ..   which is still sugar that is bad

1kg of ribeye is approx 2900 calories

6 eggs is approx   930 calories

100 grams of butter is approx   700 calories

100 grams of bacon  is approx  540 calories

I eat like this everyday ..    5070 calories

I love beer and wine......  but I drink water and soda water  as a staple

and break that rule maybe 1x a month ...

never felt better in my life

San Mig Light is 5g per 336ml.

Asahi is 2.8g per 100ml, therefore it's 9.41g per 336ml giving Asahi almost twice as many carbs as San Mig Light.
