I receive dozens of similar emails each week, they go straight into my junk folder.

Surely this can't be your first experience receiving these type of scam emails.

Never click on a link from a sender you don't know.

It is the first time. I don't know if it's because I am using a Linux OS, or something to do with my filters.

I received an email " Confirmation needed"

According to the email, I had won a cordless power tool kit from the Milwaukee Power Tool Company. In a raffle I had never entered.

No doubt, if I had clicked on the confirmation link, all kinds of nasty things would have happened to my laptop, and /or personal data.

Has anyone else seen this email?

I get 10 scam emails a week

Everyone gets these emails,

It's the same as winning raffles that you haven't;'t entered or lucky draws at banks you have never heard of.

Only the one from the Nigerian prince is genuine, I'd respond to that one if he contacts you.

Yes … deleted. I get others, as well. Apple does a good job of sending to my junk folder.

If you haven't sent him all the insurance and documentation processing fees in advance yet then you will never receive your "fund".

I won $60m several times. They never paid.

Susan, you just need to pay the fees for the fund release. Then the diplomatic agent will deliver your cash consignment to you within 12 hours. You are wasting time. Send the payment!

You gotta be kidding me. Nobody will recognize any specific spam email. I receive literally hundreds of these same type of phishing emails per day in the form of fake offers; anything from car insurance to credit cards, deals on retail stuff at hypermarts, and the list goes on. It's endless and I've been getting them since at least the year 2000.

Wow, if you get that many then you've got one chitty email service and/or don't know how to use:

- Filters

- VPNs

- Alternate email for those non-personal websites you sign up for

......and for heaven sake stop surfing the porn sites and clicking on every link you see!
