Quality sofa in Bangkok, maybe built in Bangkok - where to get one?
Specifications can be different if you select a different sofa type, such as a sleep sofa vs. a regular sofa, and, certainly, a different sofa series from another one. I think if you select a series, such as Vimle, the materials and specifications will be the same, comparing apples to apples. For example, Vimle makes a small 2-seat sofa for 25,990 baht. They also make a huge U-shaped 6-seat sofa for 100,000 baht. If you check the specifications, they are the same except for length. Seat depth is the same at 55cm. Seat height is also the same at 45cm. Armrest width and height the same at 15cm and 65cm. Etc. Fabric choices were the same--the two sofas I looked at both came with a fabric called Grann/Bomstad, with likely some other fabric choices available. I'm not sure all fabrics are available with all sofa configurations. Composition of the sofa cushions is the same--high resilience foam. And, of course, the overall design style is the same. My main point remains that in many cases you can use a different version of a sofa series to check quality, design, construction, fabric feel and weight, and, most importantly, how comfortable the product is for you when you sit on it. -

What’s the best area in Thailand for expats to settle for long-term living?
Northeast of Bangkok in the NC Group properties that are situated around or near Thanya Golf Club. Our security is excellent. We only have some small annoyances with noise, which comes mostly from the temple Northeast from the properties. (They almost always shut down by 23:59 hours, but usually around 22:00 hours). I've lived here 19 years. NC Group have opened new projects East of us, South of the golf course. There are a number of houses available in my Village for resale. People move... Some houses built as speculation, but never lived in... The area is off Lamlukka highway Soi 71, or as we know it Lamlukka 71. Drive North on 71 about 2 kms. Village 2 is about 3 kms. -

Liquid limits at airport security...
Nothing is free. It's included. Those credit cards charge fees. If they didn't, they couldn't pay the airlines to offer benefits. Last time I checked, the airlines make more money selling points than they do selling tickets and flying people around. I'm making a pedantic argument, for sure. But for the majority tuned in here, free water from the lounges isn't an option. And pointing out getting water from the lounges is bragging about access to the lounges. Everyone knows there's goodies in the lounges. That's not useful information for anyone. -
