The Inhumanity of Hamas and the Global Silence

The brutal murder of six Israeli hostages by Hamas, taken during the October 7 attack last year, lays bare the sheer mercilessness of this terrorist organization. The horror of this atrocity is underscored by the fact that much of Gaza now lies in ruins, a consequence of Hamas's actions in starting a war by massacring approximately 1,200 Israelis and kidnapping more than 200. Despite the devastation and the undeniable cruelty of Hamas, the international narrative remains overwhelmingly anti-Israeli, even as special forces recover the bodies of innocent people dragged from their homes.

These individuals, held in tunnels for months, tortured, starved, and ultimately murdered as help arrived, faced a fate that hardly bears thinking about.

The global response, or lack thereof, to the inhumanity of Hamas raises disturbing questions. Where are the mass protests against the sheer brutality of this organization? The world has witnessed widespread pro-Palestinian demonstrations, yet the mercilessness of Hamas does not seem to provoke the same outrage. The October 7 pogrom, carried out to derail a rapprochement between Israel and Arab states under the Abraham Accords, and these recent murders, designed to undermine peace talks in Cairo aimed at a ceasefire, highlight Hamas's destructive agenda.

The group is content to sacrifice as many Palestinians as necessary to sway international opinion, and disturbingly, it has partly succeeded. This moral failure is evident in those who cannot distinguish between the perpetrators of this violence and those responding to it.

The lack of outrage from global leaders, including the United Nations Secretary-General, who has been quick to denounce Israel's counter-offensive, further compounds this issue. If Hamas intended to derail the ceasefire talks by murdering the hostages, it was met with defiance from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who reaffirmed his government's commitment to securing a deal to bring the remaining 97 captives home, including 27 who are presumed dead. As Netanyahu stated, "Whoever murders hostages does not want a deal."

Despite this, a temporary "humanitarian pause" in the conflict began over the weekend in parts of Gaza to allow for a polio immunization program among 600,000 children under 10, a move that could pave the way for a broader cessation of hostilities. Netanyahu now faces increased pressure to agree to a halt, particularly as some of the families of the murdered hostages accuse him of abandoning their loved ones while others support the ongoing IDF action.

Amidst the grief and political fallout, it is crucial not to lose sight of where the true culpability lies. The actions of Hamas have not only brought devastation upon Israel but have also led to widespread suffering in Gaza. The international community's failure to hold Hamas accountable for its inhumanity is a troubling reflection of its inability to confront the real source of violence in this conflict.

I've no idea and couldn't care less, whatever happens in Gaza is the fault of the Israeli's in my opinion.

So you are closed off to the reallity...

... 6000 Gazans breaching the border in 119 places....

... Hamas mudering 101 hostages...

.... 11239 Genocidal Massacre of Israeli's by Hamas on October 7th, 2023...

.... Closed off to the barage of 4300 rockets launched by Hamas against Israel on the same day...

And thats all the fault of the Israeli's...  Right oh...

At least you are so clearly on the side of being completely unknowledgeable and delusional its easy to write you off as someone not bothering to enter any further discussion with... as in your own words... 'you couldn't care less'... i.e. your are blaming Israel whatever the facts or history highlights.

Israel did not kidnap torture or murder more than 1000 innocent people in a one-day orgy of violence.

The real source of violence is Hamas.

Hamas has had nearly 20 years and billions of dollars in foreign aid to build Gaza into a thriving community. They instead stole the money, and used some to create a terror tunnel network to rival the subway system in any major city.  Their leaders are sitting in luxury with hundreds of millions of dollars in stolen aid. Their children live like royalty. They treat minorities in their community like dirt.

And yet it is Israel that must compromise?

If Israel wants peace yes, they have to compromise.

Your opinion of Israel will not change no matter what israel  does. Yours is  a very specific double standard. Nothing I, or anyone can say will change your position. The only thing that might influence your position is when you become a victim of  arab violence. The victims of the Lockerbie Pan Am  mass murder were targeted by Libyan  government agents. The motivation of the Libyan government was to avenge its loss after it attempted to engage and menace the USN. This is the  mentality of  much of the arab world. May you one day  have the arab experience.

Which Israel? Do you mean the current state of Israel?  If so, it was initiated with the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and withdrawal of the centuries long  colonial occupation of much of the Arab world and Israel. As part of that withdrawal, French and British colonial powers gained control The agreements that laid the foundation for the  creation of Israel also laid out the creation of the current Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the delineation of the Syrian borders and the recognition of the carve out of Lebanon from Syria.  To deny the right of Israel to exists requires that the arab countries which emerged from the same agreement can no longer exist and that they must all revert back to a state of foreign occupation

It is impossible to eliminate hamas. Without compromise there will not be peace.

To date it is Israel expected to make all of the compromises. Also lost in the demand is that Gaza has multiple factions.

Some of the groups who were implicated in the October 7 breach of peace and who still attack Israel from Gaza are;

-Palestinian Islamic Jihad ( a branch of Egyptian Islamic jihad),

-Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine

- Al Aqsa Martys Brigade (affiliated with Fatah)

- Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine,

-Jaljalat  (affiliated with both Jund Ansar Allah and al-Qaeda),

-Jahafil Al-Tawhid Wal-Jihad fi Filastin (al-Qaeda-affiliated group)

- Army of Islam (Jaysh al-Islam) (al-Qaeda-affiliated group)

- Abdullah Azzam Brigades

- Jund Ansar Allah

In addition  are criminal clans who have affiliated with terrorist groups for protection. The largest is Doghmush (affiliated with al-Qaeda and Abu Qatada)

And then there are the direct  Iran linked  Shia muslim groups, the Sabireen, who are sponsored by Hezbollah and Iran.

Each has its own political agenda and its own goals. How is Israel expected to negotoiate with violent groups who at times also violently feud with each other?

That moral failure is also evident in some posters here, totally ignoring the savage brutalities of Hamas and its increasing terror tactics that are now likening it to ISIS. The recent executions of the 6 hostages, shot in the back of the heads, the previous hostages before that were also found with bullets from close range that could only have been from more executions and the admissions  from Hamas themselves in many of these brutal acts.

The entrance to the terrorist tunnel where the 6 murdered bodies were found was entered from a child's bedroom in Gaza. Further evidence of the sickening method of using human shields.

But further is the phycological terror they are carrying out right now on the families of the victims and the families of other hostages they still hold, by the videos they are releasing ISIS style of the hostages just before they were executed in cold blood.

Both sides have committed and are committing horrendous acts of violence on innocent people.   Failure to appreciate that means never-ending hostilities.  Shame on the leadership of both sides.

Nah, there are only one set of horrific terrorists.

The tunnel shaft leading to where six Israeli hostages were brutally executed by Hamas and later discovered by our forces is located in a children’s room and yard. Hamas literally dug terror tunnels in children’s homes. Let that sink in. Demons on Earth.

There is a differentiation: Hamas atrocities are administration/government sanctioned and /or sponsored and include active participation from the general population. Israeli wrongdoings are individual acts that are not state sanctioned and/or sponsored and are  condemned by a majority of the general population.  The Israeli wrongdoings are investigated and where there is  wrong doing proven,  responsible parties are dealt with.

It is just Hamas who deliberately target innocent people though .

No, they look fine in these photos:

Hersh Goldberg-Polin had part of his arm blown off by a Hamas grenade on Oct. 7.  From an earlier Hamas video:

I'm posting links to two videos that show the abduction ofmHersh Goldberg-Polin and  two other severely wounded hostages.  The second is particulaly harrowing as it shows the Hamas terrorists mistreating the injured hostages as they shout "Allahu akbar" and refer to the Jews as "dogs."

Don't watch if you are sensitive to such images.

Considering that Hamas is 'controlled opposition' carrying out false-flag terrorism, there is always consent for Israel to continue the land-grabbing and slaughter.
