Not blowing my horn there are numbers while growing up felt I was tested me and sadly realized they made a mistake.

When I first arrived not looking for trouble not being one I got into a number of situation Im no one doormat a number of Thai found that out but to remain here in peace to take care of my personal business needed to adjust but there are days I go off to a corner and think to myself the only good Thai is a dead a Thai.

A lot of flaws in your comments SF... 

 

Firstly, many many people are perfectly happy here, nearly as happy, more happy, or equally as happy as you claim to be - you do not have a monopoly on 'foreigner satisfaction or happiness in Thailand, regardless of what you read in a comments on an anonymous forum.

 

Secondly, just like anywhere else, Thailand is imperfect. Its possible to be perfectly happy here while at the same time being of sufficiently balanced mind to be able to identify and discuss faults and flaws alongside the many positives of being here - this is not a binary mindset of 'love it or hate it'.

 

Thirdly, do you perceive any disagreement with your comments as a personal attack. It certainly seems so, you make a claim, enter a debate etc which is perfectly fair, but when faced with an opposing opinion you start complaining someone has 'attacked you' - this is a particularly clever debating technique. 

 

Fourthly, your comment  [trying to make everyone else miserable] is also flawed, you are here by your own choice, if someone elses' comments make you miserable, thats your own weakness - how do you know negative comments about Thailand make others miserable ?.... 

 

... and finally, no, this is not a personal attack either - but if you think it is, you have very thin skin and need mature a bit...  Start with the acceptance that not everyone is the same, there is a spectrum of opinions and experiences here and when they don't agree with yours, its ok - its just 'different' not a personal attack.

Both decent sports and fun - football is better though while I'm still not too old to play it.

After I regret not killing him he is lucky to be alive today.

I think there are characters in this pub (forum pub) who would easily be avoided in real life and the 'type of pub they go to' is also easily identifiable and also easily avoided... 

 

 

I mix with 100's of guys weekly, playing sports, meeting friends and socialising afterwards...    

 

None of them are as unhinged and / or as emotionally fragile as some of the posters on this forum. 

 

Also, none of the many people I know in person have such a different outlook...  

It seems so many on here have a binary approach to every discussion.... 

 

 

... On the same day in different threads I've been accused of being a Thai Basher and a Thai Apologist by different people on the extremes - don't agree with them and they get easily upset...  These are often nutty people who can simply be avoided in person... 

 

 

I think the difference is also geographical - a Pattaya pub is more likely to have different characters of a differing demographic than a Pub in central Bangkok - whereas the same people can post from all over the world in the 'pub forum' on this forum.... the difference in demographic is more notable on here perhaps.
