On September 9, reports from Government House indicated that during the first official Cabinet meeting, set for September 17 at 10:00 AM, appointments for political positions, including ministerial secretaries and advisors, will be made.

Many of these positions are expected to be filled by individuals who served under former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin's government, although some ministries may see adjustments to ensure appropriateness. Each party is currently reviewing candidates.

Among the appointments is the nomination for the role of spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office.

Several candidates are under consideration, including Jakrapob Penkair, a former Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office in the government of former Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej, and a former spokesperson in Thaksin Shinawatra's administration. Jakrapob's name is reportedly a leading contender for the position.
