Got you.  Mine was two sticks running on  parallel tracks and you had to stop them when in line with each other.

I'm old and when I failed one they gave me another try and think I failed again and they let me pass.

My friends got 5 Year DL on DTV in December 2025 and Jan 2026
in Nakhon Si Thammarat (smaller office, the main one refused).
CoR, copies of old DLs, Passport (1st page, visa, stamp), Health Check.
No queue, same day.

I got mine on 20th May 2026 in Songkhla ( Songkhla Branch).
Hat Yai branch called the main DLT in Songkhla and said go to them, we can't do it.
Just 25 min drive, easy. Went in, showed my DTV, they saw 'valid until 2029' and a page full of entry/exit stamps(6 months) and were very happy about it.
Came again next day 2PM with copies of:
- Passport (1st page, visa, stamp) combined on 1 page, (x4)
- Old DL for Moto + pink ID (x2)
- Old DL for Car + pink ID (x2)
- Yellow Book (1st page, last page) combined (x4).
- Health Check form made at local clinic with local address (50b). (x3)
+ Old DLs, Passport, pink ID, yellow Book and showed 2 QR codes for completion of E-Learning on my phone.

Color chart test, peripheral Color test (1st time for me, diff. color lights appear left and right side, while looking straight), brake machine was broken (skipped).
Short wait for photo, Done at 3:30PM.
Songkhla allowed me to use YellowBook and Pink Id, and to avoid CoR, very happy about it.
Phuket and Krabi said: no way, 2 Year only, and bring CoR.
One downside of not using CoR is - I got my old Phuket address on the back side and Phuket's Background picture, while local Thais got pretty mermaid (Songkhla's symbol). And my friends got traditional dancer in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

505b for Car + 255b for Moto. 760b total , CASH only!
Someone from the queue helped me by giving 1000b in cash and i transferred back to them via bank app.
Lovely staff, lovely people. I was the only farang there. The guy who did the vision test joked about me :)

There are only 2 DLTs, 2nd one is Sichon.
