Mr. Anatolii admitted to hiring Mr. Evgenii due to the latter's financial difficulties. Mr. Evgenii arrived on Koh Phangan for a holiday and spent his money on food and leisure activities.

And a scant tool kit?

When will this rash of foreigner crime come to an end?

Obviously, you got out of the wrong side of bed this morning! Calm down....I don't think this demands execution!

Correct, also if they had been executed, why would they need to be deported?

I sympathize. Many years ago, a person was electrocuted  outside the former shopping plaza on Bangla Road. The wiring had not been grounded and the poor kid was electrocuted as he sat and inadvertently  touched a metal socket. And and on the stories go.  I liek to bash the Russians as much as the next person, but on this, I am understanding.

excuse me while I dig up  my "translate nonsense to sense" dictionary app. Wait, maybe I need the "translate from gibberish" one.

This gibberish is most likely Google Translate Russian/English translation excrement. It's on par with their Thai/English translation... 🙄

The employer probably wasn't even looking for help but the fella was in a jam and needed help. Is this really a crime? "No good deed goes unpunished...". 😢  I would bet his work is much better quality then the "We dont need no stinking Code" Thai electricians...

The objective is to uphold the law stringently and enhance the safety and confidence of tourists,

Not sure how making the Russian guy hire a dodgy Thai 'electrician' will do that though!

Maybe the BiB should set up a sting operation outside Global/DoHome/Mega and the like.

Bound to get heaps of foreigners going to their vehicles carrying tools. These tools could be used for jobs reserved for Thais!

Unbelievable.  I use to help my missus run her guesthouse.  General maintenance.... plumbing, small electrical repairs and general upkeep.

She was always worried someone might report me.

So what? report you? unless there's solid evidence of engaging into "paid work" they can go whistle.

Stupid and paranoid farangs are just amazing! They think that Thailand is some "banana republic" with banana's laws.
