An incident occurred during heavy rainfall, causing a pickup truck driver to lose control and crash into a house in Ngao District. Fortunately, no one was home at the time.

In early morning of September 19, at approximately 02:00, officers from the Ngao Police Station in Lampang Province were alerted to an accident where a pickup truck had skidded off the road and crashed into a house in Ban Pong, Ban Pong Subdistrict, Ngao District. Upon receiving the report, local rescue teams rushed to the scene to assist.

At the crash site, authorities found a severely damaged bronze-colored pickup truck flipped on its side, having collided with a roadside home. The impact caused the house to collapse completely. The driver, identified as 30-year-old Mr. Aisawan Khananam from Ngao District, sustained injuries and was immediately transported to Ngao Hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Mr. Aisawan was returning home from work in Ban Pong Tao, Ngao District, when he lost control of the vehicle due to slippery conditions caused by earlier rain. The truck veered off the road and slammed into the house, which luckily was unoccupied at the time.

The incident is still under investigation.

Probably he was not speeding as the house is totally destroyed... Slippery roads are the cause of this damage,  not the driving skills

So you have never heard of driving in a manner that road conditions will SAFELY allow?

Sadly Thai driving standards are so low that they firmly believe that the only way forward is with the peddle firmly pressed to the floor  and when something goes wrong the only way to stop the vehicle is by hitting the nearest obstacle.

The one shred of daylight in this is that at long last the reporter acknowledged and stated that the DRIVER lost control of the car

possibly you are not a driver, or may be not a very good driver. driving appropriate to the conditions is a basic driving skill. if a driver is unable to control their vehicle it is likely they are not driving appropriate to the conditions.

Probably a typical Thai pickup, driving on those hard compound, cheap tyres, having travelled over 100k km's.

These tyres are dangerous in wet conditions.
