Like ‘Animal Farm’ your account is fiction.

That's what the Stalinists said about Animal Farm since it opened a window on their hypocrisy and cruelty. But you're right, Animal Farm was a work of fiction but its message and honesty echoes to this day.As to Starmer, it's still early days and I'm reasonably confident he can get over his poor start. You perhaps should take a lesson from Animal Farm. It's foolish to bleat Tories bad Labour good regardless of circumstances.Sometimes our side gets it wrong and it's time to take responsibility, fix matters and move on Or we can behave like those sheep in Animal Farm - four legs good two legs bad,

Stalanists?

If there is to be a public debate on, and legislation, to control or better still ban donations to politicians, then I absolutely would support that, especially if it extends to lobbying and foreign individuals/entities donating to MPs.

But this brouhaha isn’t that, it’s a smear campaign, and one that ignores completely what has and continues be bunged into pockets on the other side of the house.

Yes, but it was such an accurate portrayal of the bolsheviks and Soviet Russia that there was concern that it would cause offense to the real life Comrade Napoleon if published.

So basically  you believe  Labour MPs are  inherently incapable of  being involved in any form of corruption whatsoever?

That’s a non sequitur, in truth so ridiculously illogical to the argument I made as to suggest deliberate misconstrued reading on your part.

What pressure is he under Jonny, it’s five years to the next election.

Plenty of time to make inroads into the mess left by the past 14 years of mismanagement and corruption.

Two tier Keir has no guarantee to be leader for the full term.

With great minds like Lammy and Rayner in the cabinet, he has tough competition 😂. Oh sorry, I forgot Labour don't put black people or women in the top job.

Neither do Labour change their PM more frequently than Waitrose replace the stock in their salads shelves.

It can be difficult to change their PM when they are the opposition for so long.

They’re in power now Jonny, and the rightwing whinging is in full flow

I'm actually enjoying watching them, I never imagined they could be so inept.

Sometimes it takes a party as bad as Labour to shift opinion back to common sense values. We've seen it in Europe. I just hope they don't do too much damage before they are removed at the next election. Voter regret is high, especially amongst the freezing pensioners.

Do you believe non of the corrupt theft of public funds under the last Government should be pursued?

I was agreeing with you. This story is a bit like Obama's tanned suit/ Dijon mustard compared to the billions that went missing under the last government.
