Well, at least be honest and admit you're not exactly looking for happy news, are you. In fact, based on your posts it seems you've given up on the world in general and the US in particular, so forgive me for not putting much weight on your opinion on that matter.

Angry and hurt seems how he rolls.

If she wins she will destroy the country even more than she has over the last 3+ years.

It's no problem as she is simply not going to win.

The fact she could win should scare people

Why are you using my name to quote another persons comment?

Ah. I had to go back and check the post I quoted. I quoted a post you quoted and when that happens your user name appears on the quote. Purely unintentional I assure you.

It should have been oxo1947.

I think I was distracted by something at the time as I don't do that very often. Thanks for pointing it out.

:sorry:

Especially the ones that care about the planet. I'll be departing on the final exit in due course and hopefully it's a "get out before she really stuffs it up" ticket.

I'll feel sorry for those left behind though.

People thought Clinton was going to win. We got lucky that time, but will we be lucky this time?

You are of course entitled to your opinion. It's been so long I laughed at anything in this brave new world of ours I don't remember when.

You have got it right, if that pleases you.

I see nothing to give me optimism that the world is getting better- just the opposite.

Greed won. The end.

BTW, I'm far more critical of my home country than the US, but there are hardly any threads about it on AN.

Matter of fact, the only country I think is doing OK is Thailand. Hasn't gone woke yet, is not PC at all, isn't obsessing about man made climate change, or the more than 2 genders nonsense, doesn't allow illegals to stay, etc. As long as no one goes MAD, I think it has a great future ahead. I'm just sorry I won't be there to see it.

Harris will unite America more than Trump will, that's a certainty.  Trump is a divider, we've all seen it.  He will not govern for all, only for his braindead followers who believe his every word like the gospel.

I will agree with you that Harris will unite the country as much as Biden did.

The core maga cult base is lost forever, but compared to Trump she clearly has the much more positive, inclusive message, and that would probably be helpful among those who aren't cult. Trump will end, but Trumpism will continue on. Unfortunately. No human can stop that.

what is her positive inclusive message  'joy and hope'?  don't you think policies would be better. i don't think i have heard any of them yet,

i didn't say i had, i asked a question.  and got quite a rude response from you.

So you expect members here to Google for you that any toddler could do in two seconds?

Geez Loiuse!

Or is listening to Fox propaganda your problem?

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx924r4d5yno

Vice-President Kamala Harris has been riding high on a wave of favourable polls and energetic rallies since she became the Democratic Party's nominee for president. But what have we learned about her policies since she has taken on the party mantle?

Ms Harris released a detailed policy platform in early September offering voters a look at what a Harris-Walz administration might look like. The platform page, which focuses on her economic and foreign policy agenda, emphasises her most urgent priority to tackle the cost of living.

i notice a slight difference in reporting between Trump and Harris, when she offers a tax cut it will 'benefit americans' but when Trumps does the same all of a sudden it will 'cost Americans'. a definite bias shown.

Trump tax cuts typically benefit corporations and the wealthy.  Harris tax cuts target the middle class and families.  But as you will be revealed as a Trump supporter, you won't care.

Yes, never mind the small unelected elite that rules the country and makes illegal whatever party gets the most votes. Never mind the total indemnity enjoyed by the rich and powerful to do anything they want, including murder.

I feel sorry for you.

Yes, the MAGA faithful must be terrified. First Donald lost to President Biden, and now he'll loose to future President Harris.

Tired of losing yet?

Neither unite nor divide, but simply make a lovely country that was once nice to live in, too expensive to enjoy life if making less than $50,000 a year.

Just a continuing downward spiral of economical decline & depression for people wanting and never achieving any version of the 'American Dream'

Just trying to stay one step ahead of public assistance to put food on the table, which 40+ million are failing to do already.

2024  .... HARRIS  ....  2024

Yes, I can see how trickle-down-economics would totally revive the working/middle class in the US should Trump win and immediately give the rich big tax cuts.

Will totally change the landscape just like the last time he did it.

Yep......sure.

Jan 2021 .... average petrol price $2.41

Sept 2024 ... $3.24  actually coming down from $3,80+

Medium housing cost Q4 2020 ... #338.6k

Medium housing cost Q2 2024 ... $412.3k

Inflation during Trump & Biden ... well, fake inflation used for SS COLA ...
