ETA Thailand
It only seem like a step up from the advance passenger information system the airlines already send when booking and checking in - people with multiple passports has reported being met with raised eyebrow and questions at arrival immigration counter when switching passports in the air now - so the system is ready - it's a matter of the 'custome facing' e-visa site that might need to be worked on -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
And to get back on point ... claims "of 10,000, 30,000, 50,000 expats who have knowingly committed tax evasion" when such is HIGHLY UNLIKELY the case. There is NO evidence to suggest such. Rather if one looks at the total # of expats from the different countries where the expatriates come from ... If one considers which countries where most expatriates who bring money into Thailand come from (as opposed to the largest population of expatriates who are likely trying to send money out of Thailand (ie Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia) , and if one looks at the DTA's from those countries where money is likely brought into Thailand, and if one examines what income the DTAs cover (and what income the DTAs don't cover) - then it I believe the speculation "of 10,000, 30,000, 50,000 expats who have knowingly committed tax evasion" is an exaggeration and inaccurate. It does not help if we exaggerate. . -

Official: Trump Nominates RFK Jr. for Health Secretary
Arte you implying I have researched nothing? A part of critical thinking is realizing that when 99% of scientists say one thing the 1% are probably wrong. Society works on this kind of thinking and descends into anarchy when that breaks down. I might have the numbers slightly wrong but not enough to disprove my point.. -

UK Pensioners in Thailand Face New Scrutiny Over Pension Fraud
Unless I have misunderstood your reply what is the issue? If you paid contributions then you get the state pension. Yes it used to be that be that if you made no contributions that you got no state pension. But by an large short of married women who stayed at home and never worked (being a very pre 60s thing) most people will have made contributions. The requirements have now changed. The minimum contributions for a full state pension was 44 years. I made 52 years worth of contributions yet there are people out there that still begrudge you getting anything. What a wonderful country the UK is. -
