Front tooth decay treatment

Ok last time I was in Pattaya

I went to see a dentist in the day night area

I had a front lower tooth which is had decayed from the bottom of the tooth.

I could see the yellow decay at the bottom

Now I knew something was wrong when I laid in the chair and all he did was "cover" the decay with the white plaster !!! 900 baht and 5 minutes

I'm thinking isn't he supposed to drill out the yellow decay ....then put the white plaster filling in?????

So let's fast forward a few months the white plaster has come off with brushing and the decay is still there at the bottom of the front tooth ,all he did was COVER the tooth

Now I will have to go back to another dentist on my next visit

I need to know the treatment for a front lower tooth that has a decay at the very bottom of it

Isn't the drill used to take out the decay ? Then they put the filling in?

1/ x-ray 2/ drill 3/ white filling

I did something quite controversial when I needed more detail about a procedure that I wanted done. I called the practitioner and actually spoke to them! Radical, wasn't it?

Still with the same dentist many years later.

Maybe ask here on AN for recommendations for a good dentist in your area first, pick one, then go and discuss with them your options.

Spend up big. 55 K - 65K baht for extraction and an implant.

Yellow teeth are the result of smoking.

If you really had decay at that level of the tooth, it would be hurting like hell.

That decay or possible infection can get into your brain.

Do you have any of these symptoms?

Symptoms of Tooth Infection Spreading to Brain

The bacteria from your dental infection can travel and reach your brain. This spread is called a brain abscess. It is a life-threatening condition. It is rare, but it brings the worst imaginable health results if it happens. A tooth infection spreads via the bloodstream. Some signs include:

  • Constant and severe headaches painkillers are unable to relieve.
  • Chills and sweating with high body temperature.
  • Extreme amount of stiffness in your neck muscles.
  • Nausea accompanied by vomiting.
  • Elevated sensitivity to light.
  • Feeling dizzy, confused, or irritated.
  • Depending upon where the abscess is situated. There can be particular neurological symptoms like numbness, fatigue, or trouble speaking.
