A dash cam recorded the moment an object pierced through a vehicle's windshield, striking the driver and causing a crash near the Bangchak gas station on the Chonburi city bypass road heading towards Bangkok.

The incident, which occurred on September 26, involved a 6-wheel truck veering off the road just before the gas station. The driver after being struck by the flying object lets go of the steering wheel and losses all control of the vehicle, appearing only semiconscious in the video.

Rescue workers from the Trikunatham Foundation in Chonburi arrived at the scene and found the male driver injured with a deep laceration in his chest. The rescue team provided first aid before transporting the man to a hospital for further treatment.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the incident and are examining the footage from the dash cam to gather additional details.

I would wager that the object piercing the windshield was a rock or other debris on the roadway kicked up by the car in the front of the truck.  Hope the driver is fine. :jap:
