what sort of Dr to see?
BCBS, if I recall correctly, told me to go to Bumrungrad International, or I found it on the website. That was last year. I can't remember (damn this old age). I might have just called Bumrungrad and them and asked if they accepted BCBS. This year, in March, my knee had a problem and I went there without looking for any other hospital. The nice thing was they saw me faster than I would have been seen here in the U.S. of A., for a walk in patient. Doc wanted to schedule me for an MRI, but the earliest appointment was after I would have returned to the U.S. of A. MRI showed I have a torn meniscus of my left knee. As to the list of providers, is that from BCBS Federal Employees Health insurance? I don't recall seeing any listing for Nonthaburi area, where my condo is. If you have any links I would appreciate it. As for Bumrungrad Hospital, there are two of them. One is in Nonthaburi district and is a government hospital. When I asked the driver of the firs taxi if he knew where Bumrungrad hospital was, he said he did. When I was dropped of there a nurse confirmed that it was name that. The next taxi driver that came through there and was asked if he knew where Bumrungrad in Bangkok was, responded in English, yes, Bumrungrad International Hospital, I know. -

Crime Motorcycle Theft Gang Busted After Stripping & Selling Stolen Bikes to Mae Sot
Picture courtesy of Khaosod. Bangkok police have arrested members of a motorcycle theft ring responsible for stealing and dismantling motorbikes for parts, which were then sold in Mae Sot. The arrests followed an intensive surveillance operation after a spate of thefts. On 21 May, Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, along with senior officers including Police Major General Nopasin Poolsawat and Police Colonel Naris Prathanaporn, ordered a combined team of investigators from Samran Rat and Prachachuen Police Stations to apprehend the suspects. The operation, led by Police Lieutenant Suwit Lomsak, resulted in the arrest of Mr Somsak, also known as “Ood,” aged 45, and Mr Ting Ko Ko Oo, aged 40. They were caught in Soi Lat Phrao 119, Khlong Chan Subdistrict, Bang Kapi District, Bangkok. Police seized four motorcycles and numerous dismantled parts at the scene. The case began on 24 April, when officers received reports of a stolen motorcycle in the Samran Rat area. CCTV footage showed two men dressed in long-sleeved jackets, jeans, and full-face helmets concealing their identities. They were seen fleeing on the stolen motorcycle toward Soi Lat Phrao 119. Following the trail, police conducted prolonged surveillance in the area, which ultimately led to the arrest of the suspects. During interrogation, both men confessed to a series of nighttime thefts. Their method involved using a sharpened metal tool to force the ignition of targeted motorcycles. Once stolen, the bikes were taken to Soi Nawamin 47, where they were dismantled. The stripped parts were then sent to Mae Sot District in Tak Province for sale. The suspects admitted to having been involved in this criminal operation for an extended period. Both men have been formally charged with night-time thief. They have been handed over to investigators at Samran Rat Police Station for legal proceedings. Report Police Clamp Down on Prostitution to Protect Pattaya’s Image
As a respected Thai said at time (when some in the West were saying Thais had no money for food),....... no Thai will ever die from starvation. Many have been used to foraging and they are great at sharing food to stretch it further. I loved that time......... so much gratitude around. -

Dating 22-Year-Old Thai Bubble Tea Girl - She Just Asked for 30K/Month – Am I Being Played?
Things you have to remember : 1) If you pay her no money, would she move on? These girls aren't university educated, low income, so having someone who can take care of them is important to them as much as physical attraction is to you. 2) I think deep down you know if you do not provide for her, she will move on. 3) You have to be cautious that this 'investment' won't mean she will stay faithful. She may well have others on the go, and any could pop up just like you. And trust me when you are dishing that kind of money, you will demand loyalty and it will mess you up a fair bit with the trust. 4) I would take no notice of the 'she is being nice, she never asked much before, etc' - even the biggest scamming girls will play the long game like this. I say keep going, but keep your guard. Have your fun, but knowing full well this may not last forever, especially if it is not built on love, and as much as you suspect if you do not pay the 30k she will end it. -
