Trump Declares He Won’t Seek Third Term, Dismisses Speculation Over 2028 Run
Deflection. Address the rest of the points: Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian political ideology characterized by ultranationalism, centralized control, suppression of dissent, and the curtailment of individual freedoms. It emphasizes a strong, charismatic leader, aggressive militarism, and the prioritization of the nation or state over personal rights. Historically, it rejects democracy and promotes a totalitarian system, often accompanied by propaganda, censorship, and the exclusion or persecution of perceived enemies or minorities. Key features include: Authoritarianism: Power concentrated in a single leader or party. Nationalism: Exaltation of the nation, often tied to ethnic or cultural superiority. Militarism: Glorification of military strength and aggressive expansion. Suppression: Elimination of opposition, free speech, and independent institutions. Economic Control: State-directed economy, often corporatist, prioritizing national goals. As for your link, this is a House Committee finding from 2022 as reported in PBS which of course has left wing bias. Personally I thought the Jan 6 thing was deplorable, I also think many of the jail terms were insane and I'm not convinced there wasn't any shenanigans with that election but that's in the past. It's the present that folks like you continue to say Trump is a dictator and a fascist and I'm giving you a chance to explain why this is the case. For instance has he eliminated free speech? Does he believe in a state controlled economy? What about elimination of independent institutions? Dictatorship and fascism are specific political terms with defined meanings. -

Farage’s Political Earthquake Begins to Rattle Britain’s Foundations
Anyway, back to housing being one of the issues newly elected Reform Councilors will need to deal with. Do you think these newly elected Councilors will want to start on the actual wishes of the electorate that voted them in after Labour failed so badly at them? I'm sure you know what those wishes are right? -

Malaysian mercenaries still in Ukraine?
I suspect this letter was about Ukraine sniffing around for more Alvis Stormers. The Stormer was a stretched version of the CVR family (Scorpion, Scimitar, Spartan etc), used for air defence and mine laying. The UK donated systems with Martlet surface to air missiles, and these have proven very effecitve. Surprisingly, the Spartan IFV has proven popular. Its not very big, and the armour isn't much, but it nips around the battle field quickly, and Ukrainian mechanics find it easy to work on (the petrol versions used the Jaguar Straight 6, essentially a version of the E-Type engine, but most were upgraded with a Cummins diesel). A significant number os Spartans, Srikers and Samaritans have ended up there in addition to those drawn from MOD reserves, because quite a few ended up in private hands. Oman, Indonesia and Malaysia had between them about 70 Stormers, in addition to the 60 British. The Malaysian ones have been retired. Ukrainian Stormer It looks like because of life extension programmes, BAE Landsystems can keep these things operational and upgrade them, eg Stormer 30. BAE is establishing a factory in Ukraine. Ukraine is moving on from getting hold of whatever it can to defend against the Russians, towards proper defence procurement. They have a more than capable indigenous defence industry. I suppose they will want to rationalise their platforms, but migrate away from Soviet era kit. Whether Stormer/Spartan will be part of that is another matter. -

Farage’s Political Earthquake Begins to Rattle Britain’s Foundations
I am sorry, but I fail to see the connection between a past Tory policy on "privatisation of housing provision" and "Landlords are being incentivised to evict private tenants (under section 21) to make way for illegal immigrants. " -

Transferring visa extension stamp to new Passport - Chaeng Wattana
Thanks, I was afraid of that. But I may have a route here. I have applied for the LTR visa and with luck will get it within the next month or so. If so, no more annual extensions. If I get it, I wonder if the BOI will insist on the transfer of my current extension and visa info before putting in the LTR stamp ... any idea? Hopefully not, but this may be kind of new territory.
