Western Union better than “Wise”
Yes, I asked wise, and they said that only 2 Thai Banks(Bangkok bank was one of them if I remember it right) allow transfers in excess of 2000 $. But that can't be the whole story. I was able to transfer more than that into my KTB account via payoneer. -

Baht strength - How long?
I'm certainly not the first to wonder about the exchange rate THB against other currencies, but please bear with me! I see the current rates: 1 USD = 32.4 THB which is 9% down compared to 6 months ago 1 EUR = 36.2 THB which is 7% down compared to 6 months ago 1 GBP = 43.3 THB which is 5% down compared to 6 months ago That's quite a drop in purchasing power within a relatively short time for a lot of western residents in Thailand, and for a lot of potential western tourists! Can someone explain what is going on and give a view on how long this trend might hold in the near-mid term? -

High BP, revisited.
If you are sort of 80 years + or so, most doctors will be happy if they can reduce your BP to 140/. Not to say that that is desirable, but the side effects of BP lowering drugs at that age becomes important. Questions asked should be: do you smoke, alcohol consumption, exercise, consumption of carbohydrates (which includes sugar and starch)...? Seed oils and ultra-processed foods also play a role. It's not just about living longer, it's about living a healthy life for as long as possible. -

Even if the snake does a dry bite a small amount of residual venom may have got it. Also a snakes mouth contains a lot of bacteria. imagine what you would look like if I stuck a couple of dirty nails or spikes into your foot.....or have you ever trodden on a spiky vine in the tropics - wounds quickly become infected.Also even without a bite, if you put a tourniquet around your ankle your foot will quickly swell up. -
