What this fool believes: Only a fool believes, on any given Sunday.

Recommended Posts

Dear Folks,

On this Sunday, just as on any given Sunday, no matter whether or not one might be at church, on a Sunday, .....

This fool believes....

Not in much.

Except, that....

We are livin' on a fault line.....

I also believe, this Sunday, that the Doobie Brothers are still missed, and that they are one of the greatest bands of all time.

Why they separated, far too soon, is really a mystery.

As for me, I associate the Doobie Brothers with Hong Kong, and especially Kowloon.

=============

So, anyway, thinking a bit deeper, even than the Doobie Brothers....

Do tell me, please....

What DOES a Fool Believe.....

This Sunday?

Best regards,

Gamma

Nope it's 5am

I wonder when the World will fall

The world will not fall. Once humans are extinct the world will be just fine. Plants will destroy every vestige of humanity and in about 5 billion years it's possible an actually intelligent species will evolve that lives in harmony with nature and doesn't think it's clever to build bigger bombs to kill each other with.

What does a fool believe?

Fools will believe the World will never fall to a certain religion

They are just about 500 years behind us in rejecting religion, so by the middle of the millennium they should be well on the way to dominant feminism and wokism.

I saw a brief scene of them in the movie Harry and Tonto, and they certainly seemed an energetic band. The song was pretty good too, which is why I still remember it.

5 billion years from now...

Before that time, the Earth will have become uninhabitable due to changes in our Sun.

The Sun will expand to engulf the Earth.

I thought you knew that.

It's unlikely that a super intelligent organism will ever evolve on Earth, biologically.

However, there is still hope for AI, if we can only last another 50 years.

LOL. Your own quote says 7.5 billion.

You really think the superior species will look like us LOL.

Could be a cloud of electrified gas or a mobile silicone blob for all we know.

What, are you crazy?

Hydrogen fusion in the Sun will stop in 5 billion years.

Everybody, including Chomsky, knows this.

Which is why life will evolve to survive whatever the climate. Humans refuse to adapt to a changing world, which is why we will be extinct once the climate really changes.

One only has to look at the marvelous stone creations left by some civilisation far more advanced than us in Sth America to realise that nature can kill us off in a cosmic microsecond. We live by the grace of nature but have become so arrogant we even imagine we can change climate with electric cars and windmills. Silly humans!

Whatever they are they will be so different from anything alive now that there is no description currently available. I doubt we can even imagine what the last living things on planet Earth will be like as the sun expands and turns the planet into a blackened cinder.

We can predict that they will be plasma...for sure....

I take it, then, that you agree with the mainstream view concerning the validity of The Theory of Evolution?

The Big Question is whether or not Trump understands how Evolution actually works.

Or, does Trump not know, from a deeper biological perspective, how he actually arrived here on planet Earth to become the next president of The United States?

Apparently you believe in predetermination, which makes everything pointless.

I look at the world and it's just a massive mess. It's obvious that chaos is at play. How else can the idiots that rule us have ever got elected ( or not elected as the case may be ) be explained?

I prefer the term RANDOMNESS.

Chaos connotes some sort of judgement about randomness.

Whatever word one uses humanity has messed up the planet and everything. If they had a plan to do it they certainly succeed, but IMO it's just stupidity and greed to blame.

I wonder how many of Earth's people realise that their planet will eventually be destroyed by the Sun. For the human race to survive it will be necessary for huge numbers to have found another place to live long before that happens.

All that is Earth originally came from the stars.

And it is only fitting that Earth should be consumed by a star.

Sometimes I ponder upon the reality that even we humans are stardust.

Dude, the lyrics to that song make absolutely no sense at all. Most of the songs back then were written by people that were high on drugs, so the lyrics are ridiculous. Sure, the song is great for listening and dancing, but just don't dwell on the lyrics, and enjoy the rhythm. The lyrics are here:

https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/doobiebrothers/whatafoolbelieves.html

However, I can tell you exactly what the fool believes. He believes there is no God!

Psalm 14:1-3 reads thusly...... The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, they have committed repulsive and unspeakable deeds;
There is no one who does good.

The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the children of men
To see if there are any who understand (act wisely),
Who [truly] seek after God, [longing for His wisdom and guidance].

They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt;
There is no one who does good, not even one.

I admit it.

But then...

Who is the fool, I wonder.

Still, my hat is off to the true believers...even though...

My hat has never been off before the One and Only God.
