Why are most movies released post-2000 unwatchable?

There are still some good releases, but not as many as before. I'm less sure it's about PC or 'woke', and more certain that there's a lack of talent among  a newer generation of screenplay writers and producers. I mean how lazy and uninspiring can you get by pumping out one Novel Comics film after another?

If one watches the series, The Sopranos, one can compare the quality of writing, selection of music, choice of film locations, which went into the creation of the Mafia story 25 years ago, versus what is on offer today.

Like night and day.

These days, viewers would not recognize a good production if they fell over it.

The bar has been lowered, just too low, and getting lower by the year.

what was, 25 years go, is now a lost world.

New Jersey and the TRISTATE area was an amazing place to live, back in the day.

Cheese Steaks were CHEAP.

These days, the two-bit actors we see on the screen....

Seeming act, as they have a headful of snow.

A head full of snow.

Unwatchable, comparatively.

The great days are amissing, these days....

Where is Tony Soprano when I need him most?

Where is Holden, for that matter?

A lot time when...

Men were men.
Women were women.

And, writers could write film-scripts.

And, those who watched movies were intelligent enough, and spoke enough English, to understand what the screenwriters had written.

Amazing dance scene.

Nobody cares, these days.....

This is the end.....

Yes.

Very few like Edward.....

Probably none like him, in fact....

Just take The Woman in The Window, for example (excellent high-resolution copy):
