Three Injured in Ambulance Crash in Tha Chana District, Surat Thani province

An ambulance driver from Tha Chana Hospital lost control and collided with a tree, at approximately 12.30 on October 29, resulting in three injuries, including one casualty who was trapped inside the vehicle. 

 

Rescue teams from Chaiya and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) of Tha Chana responded to the scene to extract the trapped passenger, who was safely cut free and transported to Tha Chana Hospital.

 

The accident occurred near the DDPM office in Tha Chana District, in Surat Thani province. The ambulance, carrying a family of three a father, mother, and child , was en route to the hospital when the collision occurred.

 

The male and female passengers, both susbtained minor scrapes and both reported chest pain and were transported to Tha Chana Hospital by Koh Mook Rescue.

 

The young girl was trapped in the ambulance and suffered a broken right leg and facial lacerations but was conscious throughout. Rescue teams successfully extracted her from the vehicle and transported her to Tha Chana Hospital for further care.

 

All three individuals received prompt medical attention, with the driver reported to have suffered no injuries.

 

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
