Single entry Non-O HCMC financial requirements - experiences since start of e-visa

Recommended Posts

It appears you're applying for a non-imm O based on marriage. Why would you think you wouldn't have to show financial proof of the required 400,000 baht every other non-imm O marriage applicant has to show?

One of the advantages of the e-visa is that all requirements are now the same all over the World. I couldn't get my non-imm O in Australia as they demanded 3 months insurance which no Thai company offered (only 12 months). Australia went to e-visa in March and this crazy insurance magically disappeared 😀

Because of ambiguity.

I'm asking for recent experiences of obtaining a Non-O from HCMC since e-visa changes, thanks anyway.

Well my experience is that if the e-visa application site requires you to provide 400,000 baht or equivalent financial proof then that is what you'll have to do if you want the visa (note fees are non-refundable if you apply without it)

That's not a recent experience of obtaining a Non-O from HCMC, but thanks anyway!

The HCMC Website has the same requirement listed.  Since that embassy will be the one processing the application, I would assume the requirement they have on their website is their requirement.

You are lucky!  Even though I only ever stay for maximum of 90 days, in order to get the Non O visa based on being retired in UK, I have to show proof of £18,000. Who needs £18k for 3 months?

Again, ambiguity is the key here, that's why I'm asking for recent experiences.

The system hasn't even been online for a month, and it's looking like you're not going to get what you are asking for.

So use how it works at every other embassy in the world that has already been on e-visa for 2 years now.  You meet the requirements that the embassy has on their website, since that's the embassy processing the e-visa application.
