tezzaaa Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 My wife has dual nationality: Thai and British. She is currently in Thailand. Can she travel back to the UK if her UK passport only has 3 months left? And would she be able to return to Thailand if her UK passport only has one month left? She would be checking in with her Thai passport so I guess it should be fine but I thought I'd double check..
Upnotover Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 If she's going back to UK of course, no problem. But while there why wouldn't she renew her passport? In any case yes she could of course return on her Thai passport but it would seem a good idea for her to get a new UK one whilst she is there to avoid issues on her next UK visit.
theoldgit Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 When leaving Thailand she should check in with her UK passport, otherwise they’ll be insisting on a UK Visa. Clear Thai Immigration using the passport she entered with, and present her UK Passport on arrival at the UK Border, she could even use an expired UK Passport at the UK Border. The advice to renew her UK Passport during her stay is sound, providing she has sufficient. theoldgit
