Hello

My thai partner and I recently ( 4 weeks ago ) ordered a sofa from a Furniture Company in Central Department Store in Chiang Rai. We paid using my partners Bangkok Bank Credit Card.

We ordered on 12 October and were promised a delivery two weeks later.

As of today no sofa has turned up.

We have made multiple phonecalls and seem to be given excuses for non delivery.

I am beginning to doubt if we will ever get the sofa.

What options do we have to recover the money we paid out.

Can we cancel the Credit Card payment, I know you can do this in UK.

If we can cancel the Credit Card payment, how ? is there a time limit ?

Any advise on how to recover the funds or sofa appreciated.

Ask the store for a refund due to non-delivery. Document email sent with read receipt. If no response or refund within 30 days dispute the charge with credit card bank with reason non-delivery of goods.

The key thing is not to leave it too long, speak to your bank immediately for time limits.

If it is a Credit Card, it is the banks money

If it is a debit card, it is your money.

Just go to Bangkok bank with your wife and ask!
