There was a story of the arrivals fast track being closed off for BC passengers back in August, then reports of a U - Turn by the airport bosses.

Has any one been through lately and can comment on the current situation?

Thanks,

They are open but not at the seperate Fast Track area between the two main immigration halls where they have been for years.  That area is still there but not for Business Class passengers, who should go to the main ramp and will see a "Priority" sign off to one side - it's towards the left if you come to the immigration hall nearest the E, F, G gates. Go up the ramp at the sign and the queue barriers should steer you in the right direction.

Correction  - it's towards the right if you come to the immigration hall nearest the E, F, G gates.

The last couple of months when I have come through Priority it would have been just as quick if not quicker going through the normal lanes due to the amount of families with children in the Priority lanes.

It used to be one of the reasons I upgraded on my short haul trips but hardly worth it now, might be different in high season though.

Those articles that you read a few months back (that were also discussed on this forum) were an exagerated misinterpretation... "Oh no more fast track for First Class Passengers" - it generate the expected responses... "Thailand is pushing away its visitors"... "what happened to welcoming high end tourists" etc etc...

i.e. typical social media exageration, was issleading and had a deliberately 'baitey' headline...

The Fast Track lanes for Business and First Class Passengers is next to the conventional Immigration lanes.

There is also a separate 'Priority' area, that Cabin Crew, Thai Elite etc use.

(upon departure - there is no change).
