Key components of the campaign include discussions with tourism industry leaders to develop strategies for ensuring tourist safety throughout the High Season.

So they have to date no idea of anything specific after decades of tourism fails in Phuket, Pattaya?

Geeze, how do we ensure tourist safety, need to figure this out.

You don't think around the world at some of the most visited tourist locations (Venice & Sicily come immediately to mind) this question has been put into action?

Phuket Tourist Police have initiated a comprehensive campaign to enhance tourist safety as the island gears up for the approaching High Season. The initiative, announced on Wednesday, November 6, involves collaboration between various agencies, including the Marine Police, Phuket Provincial Police, and the Phuket Marine Office, among others.

Enhance tourist safety... or just a "clean-up" brigade after the fact?

Put into action but not by Thais who must reinvent the wheel over and over with no educational background.  The leaders talk to their wise elders (555) to get advice and then procrastinate anyways.

This always cracks me up, all those police ‘crackdowns’, looking for praise for doing their job for once, instead of doing their job 365 days a year, as they are supposed to.
But I guess that gets in the way of all the grifting and illegal money making schemes they have going on the side, which is of course far more profitable (and time consuming) than actually doing the job they’re supposed to be doing.
