Hi, I got a Non-o visa based on having a Thai child in Vientiane. When I entered Thailand at Nongkai, I was given a 90 days stamp .  I used to get only 60 days.    Is there any mistake? What should I do?

The mistake would be in receiving a 60 day stamp.

Non O entry provides 90 day stamp.

Do nothing.

Out of interest do you plan to obtain a 12 month extension?

If you can outline the process you went through at Vientiane that would be helpful.

Not sure how many/ if any appointments are available in the next 20 days, because after that it becomes an e-visa consular section.

The Thai Embassy in Vientiane, Laos will start accepting Thai E-Visa applications on 01 January 2025 with 10-15 working days for processing of a Thai E-Visa. The last day for accepting in-person applications at Vientiane is 20 December 2024.

There will be no applications at all from 21 Dec-31 Dec

Thanks. I booked an appointment 30 days prior. Applied on a Monday and got Wednesday. I submitted signed copies by the mother child's birth certificate and house registration and mother signed copies  of Thai Id and house registration. I add a copy of my bank account and it was returned.  I talked to immigration about extending to 1 yr. They said I need 400k baht in the bank and legitimization of me as the father of the child since we are not married by the mother. So went District office , child me and wife, with 2 witnesses, interviewed, they asked for the translation of my name in Thai and my mother and father's names also, Took not more than 2 hours.
